The Associated Press proposes new formatting for Web articles -- chicagotribune.com
The Associated Press is proposing that publishers attach descriptive tags to news articles online in hopes of taming the free-for-all of news and information on the Web and generating more traffic for established media brands.

Tags identifying the author, publisher and other information — as well as any usage restrictions publishers hope to place on copyright-protected materials — would be packaged with each news article in a way that search engines can more easily identify.

Pukka: Del.icio.us Made Simple - Michael Mistretta
Then along came Pukka - the app that makes adding bookmarks to Del.icio.us so simple and seamless that you don’t even have to think about it. Pukka functions as a desktop interface to Del.icio.us. Simply opening Pukka will allow you to enter in a URL, name for the bookmark, tags, and even an optional description. A simple tap of the return key, and your bookmark will be added to Del.icio.us in the background. Still, I thought, it’s not easy enough to add bookmarks to Del.icio.us. Then, I discovered the Pukka bookmarklet.

LibraryTechNZ: Tagging in real life
I was in a session with Stephen Abram earlier this week, where he talked about how people describe their use of libraries. For many, it's not about getting books out – it’s about the human contact, the community. This tagging project seems to me to be a great way to up the human interaction element, online and in real life.

folksonomies + controlled vocabularies. Many-to-Many:
The advantage of folksonomies isn’t that they’re better than controlled vocabularies, it’s that they’re better than nothing, because controlled vocabularies are not extensible to the majority of cases where tagging is needed. Building, maintaining
