“…ideas are fucking worthless.” - 0xDECAFBAD
…that’s what’s got me so bothered about people musing in their weblogs about projects they’d like to do. Stop talking about it an just build it. Don’t make it too complicated. Don’t spend so much time planning on events that will never happen. Programmers, good programmers, are known for over-engineering to save time later down the road. The problem is that you can over-engineer yourself out of wanting to do the site… [Andre Torrez, Even You Can Do It]

PocketMaps - paper maps of dynamic data :: mapufacture blog
The result are PocketMaps. Just like normal PocketMods, but each item in a map or KML file show up as page with a marker and map showing the location. If the place has a photo from a sharing site like Flickr then the image will be brought in as well. You can even optionally have simple map of the place, or include overview, or zoomed out, maps of the area to help you find where it is in a large city.

MAKE: Blog: DIY - USB analog gauges
In a sort of retro mash-up, we'll make a USB device that displays PC status info on these gauges. The gauges can show CPU and memory usage, processor voltage -- just about any numerical data typically displayed on small HD44780 based LCD character displays commonly used in PC case mods.
