You are invited to join Ross Net Impact for Forum 2009: Next practices to address future challenges. This year's Forum will explore the changing role of business in society given recent economic challenges and political changes. Corporations across the globe are increasingly recognizing the value of incorporating social and environmental issues into their core strategies, and are now seeking the tools to implement real, positive change. Business leaders will convene with faculty and students to discuss how the public, private, and non-profit sectors should address the host of complex and interconnected social and environmental issues now impacting business. Through a series of keynote speeches, panels, workshops, and roundtable discussions, we hope to “move the conversation forward,” sparking ideas that will help lead to the next level of a sustainable, just society.

The purpose of this meeting is to explore scientific investigations that are enabled by global-scale reach and interactivity provided by Google Earth. These discussions will occur during a two-day meeting organized in collaboration between Google and the University of Michigan. Faculty, students, and members of the research community from all over the country will be attending. The meeting will be organized in working-groups that combine scientists and members of the Google community in an effort to explore new applications and areas for development

The Michigan Wildflower Conference is open to all who are interested in Michigan native plants and their habitats. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m., refreshments provided.
A concurrent Educators Workshop Sunday, March 8, is on developing native outdoor education habitats. A wide variety of vendors will offer high quality arts and crafts, books, photographs and original paintings. The many exhibits will bring educational information about native habitats.
