Tree, Line.
Welsh-born artist and photographer Olsen Zander has been wrapping trees in white fabric around the UK for the better part of a decade. In this series entitled Tree, Line, Zander uses the fabric to reveal the horizon lines as they disappear behind the surface of trees.

Pop-culture money.
I can't decide what my favorite is. The Oompa-Loompa is fantastic, the Princess Leia and Walter are also super solid. But face-hugger Lincoln might take the cake.

What does an athlete look like?
This photoshoot serves as awesome reference reminding us artists that strong bodies come in all kinds of shapes and sizes and muscles show up in different ways. It also helps us keep in mind that not everyone who is fit is also lean. There’s often a layer of fat over the muscles, making them less visible for some.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe
One of the joys and privileges I had during my time at Filmation was checking out what artists in other departments were creating. I especially sought out the background painters and layout artists, marveling at their work. One day after work, I spied blue pencil drawings sticking out of a folder lying in the open dumpster next to my car. After a quick check for possible witnesses, I dove in and retrieved a treasure of 1st season Masters of the Universe background layouts.

Low-Fi Sci-Fi
If the main objective of a book cover is to make you stop, pick up said book, perhaps read the back or the first few lines (and consider buying it, of course) then the new Gollancz range of science-fiction classics has certainly got something right.

One evening Harry was in a London hotel and decided to visit the Puzzle Museum the next morning. When he and his friends had finished their bottle of wine, he took the bottle up to his room. Vertoramas
Ralph Cooksey-Talbott is a landscape photographer who studied under Ansel Adams in Yosemite in the 1970's. Cooksey is currently doing vertical panoramic photography that is reminiscent in composition to monumental Asian landscape ink-on-silk paintings. He calls them Vertoramas and I think they are exceptionally beautiful. Besides selling prints, Cooksey provides many of his images as free desktop pictures.
