The new music video from OK Go, made in partnership with Chevrolet. OK Go set up over 1000 instruments over two miles of desert outside Los Angeles. A Chevy Sonic was outfitted with retractable pneumatic arms designed to play the instruments, and the band recorded this version of Needing/Getting, singing as they played the instrument array with the car. The video took 4 months of preparation and 4 days of shooting and recording. There are no ringers or stand-ins; Damian took stunt driving lessons. Each piano had the lowest octaves tuned to the same note so that they'd play the right note no matter where they were struck. Scuba diving in Silfra, Thingvellir, Iceland. Silfra is a crack between Eurasian and North American tectonic (continental) plates filled with melting waters from Icelands glaciers. Visibility underwater can reach up to 300ft and the waters deep hue of blue simply has to be seen. Each year Silfra widens by few millimeters as American continent moves farther from Europe. There is almost non-noticeable current through silfra that not only effortlesly carries you from the beginning to the end of dive, but also guarantees that Silfra stays clean and ice free year around. The water temperature at Silfra is around 33F (2C). Diving Silfra consists of three parts, the beginning, the cathedral and the lagoon - all which are featured on the video. In order to really experience Silfra, you cannot miss the "real" silfra - a cavern system leading down to 160ft with amazing beams of light filtering all the way to the bottom like laser rays. Water in silfra is from melting glaciers - hence you can drink it - even during the dive! I only miss I couldnt do the night dive here when I was to Iceland!
