The top two British crime writers join forces to discuss crime writing, murder mysteries and psychological thrillers. Between them, they have written over 100 books and the names of their protagonists, such as Inspector Wexford, Adam Dalgleish and Cordelia Gray, are known world-wide. Charity Carol Concert | kids for kids
A charity carol concert in aid of helping children in Darfur in Sudan. It was organised by Kids For Kids, who support families there through long term projects, which includes sending out goats. Hence the reason why we were greeted by a stuffed goat outside the church as well as a couple of donkeys!<br />
It all took place at St. Luke's Church in Chelsea, and we were there to be part of a celebrity choir. We were given the first verse of Away in a Manager to sing, and managed to have a brief rehearsal before it was our big moment. Also in the choir was the actor Richard Wilson, the author Ruth Rendell and fellow news presenter Alastair Stewart.

The Comedy of Errors « The Dooley Review
The only time that I actually felt really moved was when the father of the twins (played very well by Christopher Ravenscroft) was reunited with his wife. However, this beautiful moment was ruined a little by the American tourist behind me who exclaimed ‘Old people are, like, so cute!’.

The Comedy of Errors, Open Air Theatre, Regent's Park, London - Reviews, Theatre & Dance - The Independent
...Thus the old Syracusan merchant Egeon has been arrested and arraigned by a tall, white-suited Duke in a gendarme's hat that makes him look like General de Gaulle. Ragged and manacled, Christopher Ravenscroft makes Egeon's long, usually boring speech of explanation, one of riveting interest...

The Comedy of Errors: It's Carry on Casablanca! | Mail Online
...There is also some dramatic balance in that the long opening account of misery from Egeon, the imprisoned merchant of Syracuse, is delivered with gravity (and clarity) by Christopher Ravenscroft.

One Week With John Gulliver - Great books? It’s no mystery, says Rendell
“My characters sometimes try to take over a plot and I have to crush them,” said the novelist, who lives in Maida Vale. “You have to remember what Graham Greene said about authors of fiction: ‘There’s always a little splinter of ice in them.’ He meant that you could be at the deathbed of a dear and close friend or relative and you would be taking down notes.”
