speedlimit
speedlimit is a Leopard preference pane for limiting your network bandwidth to one of a couple different speeds—768k DSL, Edge, 3G, and Dialup. This is really handy for testing your iPhone app under normal Edge network conditions in the iPhone Simulator. The new version allows you to restrict the slowdown to only a specific set of hosts.

Introducing iOS Beta Builder
BetaBuilder is a simple way to generate all of the deployment files you need to do your iOS Ad-Hoc beta programs wirelessly. It’s similar to services like TestFlight (they do more than just the wireless bit though – if you need a comprehensive solution, check them out too). BetaBuilder is free and the source is available.

Safari Dev Center: Safari Web Content Guide: Introduction
web content intended for the desktop might work well on iPhone without any modifications. Some differences exist, however, so at a minimum you should ensure that your webpages are compatible with Safari on iPhone OS. Next, you might optimize your webpages for iPhone OS simply as a convenience to the user. For example, ensure that your webpages work over Wi-Fi, 3G, and EDGE, scale correctly when rendered, and contain media that is viewable on iPhone OS. Finally, you might build custom web applications for either platform that look and behave like native applications.

Discern, Design, Generate › Network Reachability
If you write an iPhone application that uses the network, then you must check if the network is both operating and that your server is reachable. Apple has and will continue to reject applications that do not test reachability. To this end, Apple provides iPhone developers a sample application and class, Reachability, that can easily be used to perform these tests

Switching from scripting languages to Objective C and iPhone: useful libraries :: Hackdiary
I’m a web developer at heart, and a scripting language user by preference. Coding for the iPhone doesn’t feel as fluid in text handling or HTTP access as the environments I’m used to. Fortunately I’ve been able to find some fantastic open-source libraries and wrappers that make up the difference. Here are my favourites so far:
