wxWidgets lets developers create applications for Win32, Mac OS X, GTK+, X11, Motif, WinCE, and more using one codebase. Unlike other cross-platform toolkits, wxWidgets applications look and feel native. This is because wxWidgets uses the platform's own native controls rather than emulating them.

This TechNote contains an example of communication between JavaScript and the Adobe Flash Player using the ExternalInterface class. From JavaScript on the HTML page, you can call an ActionScript function in Flash Player. The ActionScript function can return a value, and JavaScript receives it immediately as the return value of the call.
