The main DPC culprit was the wireless card so that must be disabled, I also disabled the bluetooth for good measure using Fn-F2. Then disabled all services using msconfig. Reboot and voila - latency reduced by a factor of 20!

This is driving me crazy. XP is very fast on my 901 when it is working. But it seems like every time I perform an action, everything becomes unresponsive for a moment or two.

I have heard from a few 900/901 users they are having trouble getting their multitouch drivers to work. That is because Asus OEM drivers installs less functions than Elantech (the maker) have designed. The drivers ARE there on your OEM driver CD.

With the PDANET prc, just install, connect on your Centro, and make sure the program is running on the EEE PC and it will automatically connect to it. you don't have to type in any passwords or phone numbers or create any connections. It is all done automatically and works like a charm! No dropping of the connection what so ever.
