Eric points out what others have overlooked during the free agency bonanza - there are going to be a *whole* lotta of rookies in the NHL this year.

My guess is the NHL begged him to do this for the publicity because Wayne has always done whatever the NHL asked of him. Regardless it'll be nice to have him more visible again.

Erik Erledsson's column assualts the "new" NHL on salaries. The new deals suck, players with questionable records but big "names" (Pronger and Kayria) are getting way too much money.
