This program is intended for beginners looking to do one of two things: increase general range of motion in your movements, and/or help fix all the creaks, aches, and pops of age and bodily disuse." Put Eggs in a Bowl of Water to See If They've Gone Bad
"All you need to do is fill a bowl with cold water and place the egg inside. If it sinks to the bottom, it's good. If it sinks but stands on its point, it's good, but won't be good for much longer and should be used soon. If it floats, toss it. This works because old eggs will have lost a lot of the liquid on the inside, evaporating through their porous shell—causing the egg to float instead of sink. Hit the link to read more."

Add Wings to a High Chair to Prevent Food Spills
"If you're a parent of small children you know all too well how happy they are to drop food while sitting in a high chair. If you're lucky it will drop in front of them and land on the tray, but it seems like a lot of food is dropped on the left and right sides. To help prevent this install high chair "wings" by modifying placemats to fit the sides of your high chair.

Ikea modification weblog Ikea Hackers recommends using LJUDA placemats for this purpose—they're cheap ($1.49 each), colorful, and solid enough that they won't flop around. All you need to do to modify these or other placemats into high chair wings is to cut slits in the placemats so the high chair straps can fit through. Just place the wings under the high chair and feed the straps through the slits. If necessary you can also place a cardboard cutout under the mats for rigidity.

The resulting modification should help minimize both food waste and the frequency you have to clean the floor area around the high chair. The "wings" are highly portable and when attached your kid can pretend they're flying around on the high chair. Win-win."

Make a Beverage Drip Catcher from a Soda Bottle
"If you have a beverage dispenser with a dispenser spigot it's likely that users will drip liquid on your table or counter from time to time. To eliminate this problem you can buy a commercial drip catcher for $6 or you can just cut out a 20oz soda bottle." Cut away the front, sides, and top, cut a hole in the back to hang it on the spigot, and if you feel fancy, paint it white. Ta daaaah.

What Did Historical Swords Weigh?
"Just how heavy were swords from the Middle Ages and Renaissance? This question (perhaps the most commonly encountered in this subject) is easily answered by knowledgeable students of the subject. While understanding of the true weights of Medieval and Renaissance swords is appreciated by serious enthusiasts and practitioners of historical fencing today, in contrast the general public and even specialists are often woefully ignorant on the matter."

Fainting goat - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(I want one.) "A fainting goat is a breed of domestic goat whose muscles freeze for roughly 10 seconds when the goat is startled. Though painless, this generally results in the animal collapsing on its side. The characteristic is caused by a hereditary genetic disorder called myotonia congenita. When startled, younger goats will stiffen and fall over. Older goats learn to spread their legs or lean against something when startled, and often they continue to run about in an awkward, stiff-legged shuffle."
