Hoe geef ik een fotograaf naamsvermelding? - ICTRecht

iPhone Jailbreaking Could Crash Cellphone Towers, Apple Claims | Threat Level | Wired.com
Threat Level had no idea the iPhone was so dangerous. We’re gratified that Apple locked down this potential weapon of mass disruption before hackers could unleash cybarmageddon. This also explains why Apple rejected the official Google Voice App for the iPhone this week. We thought it was because Google Voice posed a threat to AT&T’s exclusivity deal with Apple. Now we know it threatened national security.

| The Public Domain |
Our music, our culture, our science and our economic welfare all depend on a delicate balance between those ideas that are controlled and those that are free, between intellectual property and the public domain. In his award-winning new book, The Public Domain: Enclosing the Commons of the Mind (Yale University Press) James Boyle introduces readers to the idea of the public domain and describes how it is being tragically eroded by our current copyright, patent, and trademark laws.

Flickr: Discussing Virgin Mobile advertising campaign using Flickr photos in FlickrCentral
The issue is that Virgin Mobile (or the advertising company) failed to obtain model releases for the person who was actually in the photo. My understanding of Australian law is that a model release is required when a person's image is being used to advert

The Fishbowl: Copyright Virgins
It’s not a good time to be a professional photographer. Ten years ago, digital cameras were bulky novelties that saved your 640×480 pixel image onto a floppy disk. Today, most people can (and do) take better quality photos with their cell-phones. Mean

Wired 12.03: Some Like It Hot
"If piracy means using the creative property of others without their permission, then the history of the content industry is a history of piracy. Every important sector of big media today - film, music, radio, and cable TV - was born of a kind of piracy."
