The first time is a total accident, Eduardo swears; he's lying on Mark's bed, bored out of his fucking mind, because they agreed on dinner at eight, Mark, is that so hard? but Mark's having some sort of breakthrough or something, and mumbled, "Ten more minutes?" like, an hour ago, and Eduardo knows they're not leaving the dorm any time soon.

Daniel sends their whole improv group an e-mail saying "check this out its fun1!1" and a link to a web comic called The Adventures of Spaceman Spiff.

The first time Mark meets Eduardo Saverin, he’s not really paying attention. On top of the project proposals he keeps mocking up and Erica keeps shooting down, the red-tape the military keeps mummifying the science department in, and the overwhelming rush of adrenaline that comes from the knowledge that in three weeks, he'll be leaving the Milky Way galaxy, he also has to worry about his underlings staging a mutiny.

Harvey has a new strategy for dealing with this thing that isn’t really a thing, because it’s not like it’s planned or regular or something he’s attached to in any way (though he has to admit that this can’t happen again is a resolution that hasn’t exactly held): just don’t talk about it.

Simple. There is no need to discuss what is clearly a straightforward case of Mike being hot and easy and surprisingly flexible and Harvey not being idiot enough to turn that down, so they won’t. Discuss it. Ever.

Harvey drafts this mental memo and files it away under “things to remember,” and that is that.

Maybe he should have made sure to somehow forward it to Mike, though.

He's halfway to Sarah's when he realizes that it's really weird that Sherlock offered to buy milk (and beans) (!), and it's really weird that Sherlock did nothing to stop him from leaving (for an entire evening and possibly all night), and it's really weird that John's angry about it (there's no good reason to be angry). John looks down at his balled fists and stops. Sherlock, an infinite mystery; and he's apparently deeply under John's skin.

Marcus is one of the poorest liars Esca has ever encountered. There's no subtlety in him and no guile. So when, one summer evening, their idle talk turns to the subject of women, Esca sees Marcus' desire to lie form before he even opens his mouth to speak, tension running stiff up his shoulders and colour climbing into his throat.

If anyone ever asked him about it -- which he sincerely, deeply, for his own health and safety hoped they would not -- Chris would tell them that he'd never been planning on sucking Liev's dick, or any dick ever at all. It had just happened. Like things did sometimes, unexpected.

He watches her laugh, momentarily carefree and happy, and the lights of the TARDIS seem to grow warmer for a minute, like even dependable old Sexy is laughing right along with her.

He feels like Hitchcock. It's all suggestion. But he feels it anyway.

As Moriarty keeps baiting him with seemingly random acts of violence, Sherlock struggles to keep up and keep John safe, but then there's one puzzle that shakes Sherlock's support system entirely. The story is ostensibly a modern-day spin on hiatus fic - John thinks Sherlock is dead, Sherlock is trying to destroy Moriarty's criminal network. But it's really about Sherlock working through what John and Mycroft mean to him.
