don't really agree with this article but it's an interesting read and idea. The examples used from the 80's are all toy or kid related companies or products. I would say the the web 2.0 aesthetic is more about creating a "toylike" feel more than anything.

OpenID is gaining some steam as of late. O'Reilly seems to complain about there not being many places that are using OpenID yet, but this is going to drastically change this year.
