Short anser: yes, probably. Opera Mini was always very fast indeed on my Series 60 phones, so it'll be worth a try if approved.

A proposed app for turning all the power draining/useful iPhone features on and off with one click (or should that be push? poke? jab? finger?). This would need to be provided by Apple, and that they might be reluctant to admit the need for such a thing.

Nice. I'd replace the buttons with the Newton's 'drag to/from the side of the screen' method, because it'd be quicker, and because I'm a weirdo Newton fetishist. (And once we *can* select text on the iPhone, I demand an Assist button with all its associated cleverness.)

Given that there are squillions of iPhone apps, 99% of them are either total shit or completely useless (I don't play computer games), and there's no way to try them before you buy them, IUseThis could be a handy filter.

The fact that something like this is necessary if I want to use my iPhone 3G for more than a few hours between charges is incredibly fucking annoying. (My old Nokia N95 did 3 or 4 days with the same amount of browsing/email/GPS use.)
