London A-Z
In iPhone form. Searchable, shows current location, generally looks quite slick, and you don't need to be online to use it (which, since I drain my battery using Google Maps whenever I'm in London, is the tempting feature). £5.99.

iPhone Developer Program
"We have decided to drop the non-disclosure agreement (NDA) for released iPhone software." As a user, does this mean the developers who have made apps that can email files will tell all their freinds how to do it? Hope so.

Griffin Technology: AirCurve
"AirCurve looks like a simple, elegantly minimal stand for your iPhone. But inside is a cleverly designed coiled waveguide that collects the sound from the built-in speaker of your iPhone, amplifies it, and projects it into the room."

Mike Davidson - LazyWeb Request: iPhone Power Miser
A proposed app for turning all the power draining/useful iPhone features on and off with one click (or should that be push? poke? jab? finger?). This would need to be provided by Apple, and that they might be reluctant to admit the need for such a thing.

Bums, I hadn't spotted Tris, and now it's gone. Also, interesting points on iPhone app development (fast loading, fewer features is better than slow loading and featureful.)

iPhone SSH review: iSSH v. pTerm v. TouchTerm v. SSH
I've gone with SSH. (It's annoying that you have to wait for reviews like these to pop up, or purchase every single app of a given type to find out which is best - if demo versions were available, I'm sure I would've spent a lot more at the App Store by now.)

Simplify Media for iPhone - The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)
Stream your iTunes Library to your iPhone, or your other computers, or to other users. Works just beautifully over WiFi, but you need the patience of a saint to use it over 3G. Very nice interface on the iPhone. One flaw: it took over an hour to scan my library, and when it had finished, only managed to find 10k of my 15k songs. (Update: it seems to be slowly adding more songs - up to over 11k now, so I'm guessing it'll have the lot eventually).

Ironic Sans: Idea: How I would do iPhone cut and paste
Nice. I'd replace the buttons with the Newton's 'drag to/from the side of the screen' method, because it'd be quicker, and because I'm a weirdo Newton fetishist. (And once we *can* select text on the iPhone, I demand an Assist button with all its associated cleverness.)

Given that there are squillions of iPhone apps, 99% of them are either total shit or completely useless (I don't play computer games), and there's no way to try them before you buy them, IUseThis could be a handy filter.

Macworld | Review: Basic to-do apps for iPhone and iPod touch
Good round up. Though there's not much point reading past "...there are currently no to-do-list apps that can sync with your existing to-do lists in iCal or Mail." (Another thing to add to my silly "What?! But my bloody Newton can do that!" list.)

Backup Battery for iPhone / iPod - DX001
The fact that something like this is necessary if I want to use my iPhone 3G for more than a few hours between charges is incredibly fucking annoying. (My old Nokia N95 did 3 or 4 days with the same amount of browsing/email/GPS use.)

O2 beats rivals in battle for the rights to Apple’s iPhone - Times Online
