Sending confidential information such as passwords, account information and other sensitive data in emails and IM is not necessarily safe. That data is typically stored with remnants of the bits in places you don't need it to be.

This plugin enables email notifications to all group members whenever a new item is added to the group activity stream. Automatically join a member to a group based on a profile field. For example, say you have a profile field where the person selects his state from a drop down list. If he selects, New York, he'll be automatically added to the group New York. Or, if you have a profile field for "Favorite Animal" and the member selects "Dog", you could automatically have him become a member of the group "Dog's Rule" and "Best Dog Food".

This plugin removes the admin bar completely from the public and admin areas of the website. Can be used either as a normal or MU plugin.

Upon activation/installation this works immediately. Nothing fancy, the admin bar is just not loaded anymore.

This plugin adds a checkbox in the post/page admin (for the admins and editors) to tell members (notification & email) that an important post has been published :

Just check the checbox at the bottom of a page/post when editing it. (You won't be able to post a notification if the post/page is not published; password protected or if a notification has been sent before.) (If a notification has been sent before; the checkbox will be disabled. You can eventually re-enable it by deleting the meta key bp_admin_notifications_sent.)

A WordPress BuddyPress plugin that allows for new member moderation, if moderation is turned on from the admin settings page, any new members will be blocked from interacting with any buddypress elements (except editing their own profile and uploading their avatar) and will not be listed in any directory until an administrator approves or denies their account. This plugin also creates bp profile field checkbox groups on the /register page from checked off groups or blogs in the admin settings section so any new members can join one or more groups or blogs that you specify at registration. If moderation is turned on admins can create custom display messages and email alert messages for approved or denied accounts. When admin approves or denies, custom emails get sent out to new members telling them they were approved or denied.

This BuddyPress RC2 plugin simply removes the default Admin Bar. It's ready-to-use: just activate it; no options needed.

If you're using BuddyPress and displaying site wide posts, this plugin is a necessary replacement for the one that comes packaged with BuddyPress. The widget options include title, posts per page, total posts, number of posts with excerpt, and previous and next link titles.
