Analysis on the Eurovision Songfestival
"The last few years, possibly since the introduction of Europe-wide televoting, it is being suggested that the voting results of the Eurovision Songcontest are (getting) more related to geographical location or common history than to the songs performed by the artists on the event. This page is dedicated to a modest analysis at Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science (LIACS) about the extend to which these suspicions are genuine."

"It asks: "Honestly, don't the Bavarians annoy us all?" and then proceeds to list all these annoyances, such as the "senseless jabbering," and sense of superiority as well as all those "pointless mountains and boring lakes." The site says that Bavaria never really belonged to Germany and "is better suited to Austria than us." The tract ends with the rallying cry: "Whoever finally wants to kick Bavaria out of the Federal Republic of Germany, simply needs to give their vote to the BP -- in all of Germany."

BBC NEWS | World | Europe | Czechs apologise for hoax EU art
"As well as portraying Bulgaria as a toilet, Entropa depicts Romania as a Dracula theme-park and France as a country on strike. The Netherlands is shown as a series of minarets submerged by a flood - a possible reference to the nation's simmering religious tensions. Germany is shown as a network of motorways vaguely resembling a swastika, while the UK - criticised by some for being one of the EU's most Eurosceptic members - is absent from Europe altogether. "
