Apapane captures filly triple crown with decisive win in Shuka Sho
"In royal style and running under the same colors as 2005 triple crown winner Deep Impact, Apapane eased her way to the 2010 filly triple crown with a win of the Shuka Sho on Sunday at Kyoto. She became the second 3-year-old to sweep Japan’s current trio of filly classics – the Oka Sho (Japanese 1000 Guineas), the Yushun Himba (Japanese Oaks), and the Shuka Sho." Japan out to lure Canford to Kyoto with big prize
