Font Awesome, the iconic font designed for use with Twitter Bootstrap
One font, 150+ icon glyphs, fully scalable, made to work with Twitter Bootstrap. Wicked.

No huge surprises here. Also, I wonder if BusinessInsider ran a usability test on dumping content in a lame slideshow format to gin up pageviews?

Uniform is a jQuery plug-in for creating style-able form elements
A bit of a hack, it hides the actual form elements, then wraps them in divs and spans, styles those up then uses scripting to handle the form interaction.

Why Apple doesn’t do “Concept Products”
"How else are we going to advance product design, you might ask. Not by pretending that there’s free lunch for designers. Designers shouldn’t be encouraged to simply assume somehow constrains magically will disappear: mobile devices, for example, will somehow be powered by Herculean power sources that then make possible most of the other flights of imagination found in a typical concept phone."

Vertical farms make local food an urban reality
Instead of requiring acres of land, a 30-story building could feed 50,000 people. A drop in the bucket for a city like New York, but a fascinating concept all the same.

A more effecient milk jug throws consumers off
The new design is dramatically more efficient, doesn't require plastic shipping containers and is even cheaper, but more difficult to use at first. Still, I like the idea of pushing the new design as people should get the hold of it pretty quickly.
