3rd party browsers come to the iPhone, all suck
january 2009 by jimray
I don't want to sound like I hate freedom or something, but sometimes you have to question the "competition is good for everyone" thinking. I'm sure someday someone will come up with a mobile browser that will be TEH AWETHOME but today is not that day. I'm guessing the reason it took these browsers so long to hit the store has less to do with Apple's "high horse" and more to do with the fact that they all blow.

Why Apple doesn’t do “Concept Products”
august 2008 by jimray
"How else are we going to advance product design, you might ask. Not by pretending that there’s free lunch for designers. Designers shouldn’t be encouraged to simply assume somehow constrains magically will disappear: mobile devices, for example, will somehow be powered by Herculean power sources that then make possible most of the other flights of imagination found in a typical concept phone."

Apple is pulling NBC shows from the iTunes store before the fall season
august 2007 by jimray
NBC wanted $4.99 a show, inspiring a well deserved W.T.F? I'm sure whatever craptacular solution the big old brains working for Zucker are sure to hastily deliver will suck royally, driving folks like me to torrent the next season of Battlestar Galactica.
