I never did finish reading the Getting Things Done book, taking what it outlined and using the parts I felt comfortable with. It's remarkable similar to what is proposed here. Good, short, read if you you want an insight into GTD without all the hassle.

I frequently ping emails to my home address to remind me to do something. Going to investigate this and see if it's an improvement.
