Gliimpse
Gliimpse is a quick preview technique that smoothly transitions between document markup code and its visual rendering. It allows users to regularly check the code they are editing in-place, without leaving the text editor. This method can complement classical preview windows by offering rapid overviews of code-to-document mappings and leaving more screen real-estate.

TidBITS Networking: Tag, You're in 2D!
A 2D barcode, more appropriately called a 2D "tag" or "code" or even "matrix," encodes a relatively large amount of information, and is typically used - often by taking a photo - to trigger an online action like displaying a Web site or revealing text. The most popular open formats, QR Code (which we use) and Data Matrix, encode text or a URL in their 2D tags.

Apple Lossless Audio Codec
The Apple Lossless Audio Codec (ALAC) is an audio codec developed by Apple and supported on iPhone, iPad, most iPods, Mac and iTunes.  ALAC is a data compression method which reduces the size of audio files with no loss of information.  A decoded ALAC stream is bit-for-bit identical to the original uncompressed audio file.

The Apple Lossless Audio Codec project contains the sources for the ALAC encoder and decoder.  Also included is an example command line utility, called alacconvert, to read and write audio data to/from Core Audio Format (CAF) and WAVE files.  A description of a 'magic cookie' for use with files based on the ISO base media file format (e.g. MP4 and M4A) is included as well.

The Apple Lossless Audio Codec sources are available under the Apache license.

Audio signal processing tutorials & software
Bernsee
Stephan M. Bernsee

The DSP Dimension started out as a platform for online courses and tutorials on Digital Signal Processing in 1999 as part of Stephan Bernsee’s lectures on advanced audio DSP held at various institutions around Germany. The DSP Dimension quickly became a standard resource for specialized DSP topics like time stretching and pitch shifting and is part of engineering classes at several universities across Europe as well as a frequently featured content in many popular magazines. Today Stephan and his team are providing consulting and development services to the audio signal processing market and are developing applications marketed through their partners around the world.

PyChecker: a python source code checking tool
PyChecker is a tool for finding bugs in python source code. It finds problems that are typically caught by a compiler for less dynamic languages, like C and C++. It is similar to lint. Because of the dynamic nature of python, some warnings may be incorrect; however, spurious warnings should be fairly infrequent.

Vanilla - Type Supply Code - Trac
Vanilla is a Python wrapper around Cocoa. It was inspired by the classic W Python library.

The advantage of Vanilla is that it provides a very simple, familiar API for Cocoa. The disadvantage is that it doesn't use NIB files; you specify the interface programatically. There are tradeoffs either way. I personally prefer the simpler API over the niceties of InterfaceBuilder.

Show Me the Code: NYT Trender - Open Blog - NYTimes.com
It seems like only yesterday that we released the first New York Times API. Now we have 11 APIs (and counting), and we want to help you learn all about them. To that end, we provide lots of documentation, as well as an awesome console tool for experimenting without coding. That’s a good start. But if you’re like most developers, your favorite way to get up to speed is to see some actual code.

So in order to show you some code, we’re starting a series of posts featuring demo applications. First up: NYT Trender, which showcases the Article Search API.
