Baltimore SDIY Group's HomePage
Hello & welcome to the homepage of the Baltimore SDIY Group, formerly known as The ElectroAcoustic Orchestra & the Baltimore SDIY Variable Ensemble.

I started this group in November of 2007 here in my hometown of Baltimore MD, in what was to have been an electronic music synthesizer users group to have discussions & demonstrations amongst like-minded individuals in the Baltimore/DC/VA areas. By May of 2008, the group quickly morphed into a live shows performance-based entity under the former title of The Baltimore SDIY Variable Ensemble

Amanda Muses
AmandaMuses.com began in March of 2007 as a digital sketchbook for the incongruous leftovers from studio explorations and my day job at the time. The idea stemmed from the advice of David Carson who upon seeing my empty new sketchbook, urged me to “fill in these pages.” The next week, I began AmandaMuses to challenge myself to generate more concepts, sketches and ideas; to explore.

A Sprinkling of New Year's Cheer
BCF is ringing in 2011 with another sprinkling of "confetti grants" for local arts groups, awarding $27,000 in small grants to nine organizations in Baltimore City.

The grants of $3,000 each went to arts groups that successfully participated in BCF's Consultant Services Program, which helps organizations survive, grow, and reach larger audiences by offering technical assistance in a number of areas.

Artscape May Add 'Betascape' To Draw Technophiles - WBAL Radio - wbal.com
A group of volunteer organizers filed a proposal Monday night to add a tech exhibition to Artscape – complete with Web-based interactivity, gadgets and video gaming – in hopes of emulating the success of other events across the country that attract technology enthusiasts.

The organizers, part of a volunteer group called BmoreSmart, would call the technology component Betascape. Their proposal envisions a showcase that complements Artscape’s current offerings of visual art and musical performances.
