Giambrone takes street heat.
The hood only makes the papers when people are whining about Giambrone.

Bar Bans, By-Laws and the End of Ossington
"The businesses that are here will probably do fine, new businesses probably won't move in, and you can't survive without patios as a restaurant, so everybody's going to go down Dundas and to Bloor and Lansdowne."

A tale of two city bars.
Kiss Cup (now Happy Cup) vs. 3-Speed. They couldn't be more different.

Campbell Park anti-dumping protest: it was a circus.
It's interesting to compare how much news coverage Jack's protest received compared to the coverage the Sri Lankan war protests received. The Sri Lankan war protests were probably some of the biggest protests in the city, ever, but they didn't make the news till they started disrupting traffic. I don't think they were covered on TV till they stormed the Gardiner.
