Interactive Experiments Focused on HTML5
I'm a web developer and creative programmer from Sweden that is as passionate about working with animation and interactivity as I am technical implementation. My work experience is broad and includes campaign sites in Flash, web apps in HTML, desktop apps in AIR, experimental HTML5 and CSS3 projects as well as mobile development. I used to work at
Fi
, a digital production agency in Stockholm, but recently moved to San Francisco to take on the role of Lead Interactive Developer at a well known startup;
Qwiki
.

Games don't kill people -- do they? - Gaming - Salon.com
So — are games fundamentally violent and therefore bad? No. Chadwick was wrong; games are not about violence. Games are about struggle. Because violence is the easiest way to create struggle, many games are violent — but far from all.

Casual, multiplayer, short online games? - games casualgames mulitplayer | Ask MetaFilter
What are some good multiplayer online games that allow for a quick "pickup" game that can be played start to finish in a few minutes? (Mainly thinking games played via laptop/desktop computer, as opposed to iPhone/iPad/Android.)

Double Fine Adventure! // Ron Gilbert's Words of Wisdom to Tim Schafer [FULL 35 MINUTES] - YouTube
A few weeks prior to launching his record-shattering Kickstarter campaign for a new Point-n-Click Graphic Adventure game, Tim Schafer sat down with his old boss and mentor, Ron Gilbert. Together, they look back on the genre they helped define and discussed what they did right, where they went wrong, and how they'll do things differently moving forward with the new game.

Daniel Thomas Vol 4: Photos - Twin Cobra (Kyuukyoku Tiger) (PC Engine)
A pair of photos from the excellent PC Engine translation of Toaplan's Twin Cobra, or Kyuukyoku Tiger as it's known in Japan. Somebody out there needs to secure the rights to the Toaplan catalog - home to some of the greatest arcade shoot-em-ups ever made. And Hudson, or whoever is in charge, needs to release this game on the Virtual Console.

Coding Horror: Physics Based Games
I've always been fascinated by physics-based gameplay. Even going back to the primeval days of classic arcade gaming, I found vector-based games, with their vastly simplified 2D approximations of physics and motion, more compelling than their raster brethren. I'm thinking of games like Asteroids, Battlezone, and Lunar Lander.

Do you enjoy classic 2D platformers? Then boy, are you in luck! The indie game community is thriving, and a good majority of its games are exactly that. I've spent many hours playing these unique, beautiful, and often exceptional projects, and there's quite a few - more than I can count on my fingers! - that could stand toe-to-toe with the finest contemporary games. Inside is a list of some of the greatest indie platformers, based on community recommendations and my own experience. Enjoy!

Human Computation - Luis von Ahn
Google TechTalks July 26, 2006 ABSTRACT Tasks like image recognition are trivial for humans, but continue to challenge even the most sophisticated computer programs. This talk introduces a paradigm for utilizing human processing power to solve problems that computers cannot yet solve. Traditional approaches to solving such problems focus on improving software. I advocate a novel approach: constructively channel human brainpower using computer games.
