Stealing Your Address Book by Dustin Curtis
I can't think of a rational reason for why Apple has not placed any protections on Address Book in iOS. It makes no sense. It is a breach of my privacy, and it has allowed every app I've installed to steal my address book.

Edinburgh International Book Festival mobile site – Tinned Fruit
We decided that a mobile web site would serve the Book Festival’s needs better than would native applications. Here’s why we came to that decision, and how building an interactive and responsive mobile website need not be as huge a departure from traditional web development as you might think.

The Pixar of the iPad age
Morris Lessmore may be the best iPad book in the world. In July, Morris Lessmore hit the number one spot on Apple's iPad app chart in the US. That is to say, Morris Lessmore wasn't just the bestselling book, but the bestselling *app* of any kind for a time. At one point or another, it has been the top book app in 21 countries. A New York Times reviewer called it "the best," "visually stunning," and "beautiful." Wired.com called it "game-changing." MSNBC said it was "the most stunning iPad app so far." And The Times UK made this prediction, "It is not inconceivable that, at some point in the future, a short children's story called 'The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore' will be regarded as one of the most influential titles of the early 21st century."

Vintage Disney Alice in Wonderland: David Hall Storyboard - Alice and Dinah
Some of the best story art created at Disney for Alice in Wonderland was done by David Hall in 1939 when the idea for adapting Alice first took shape. There is a lot of information about David Hall out there so I won't go into too much detail about him, but there is a good article about him here. David Hall was only at the studio for a short time in the late 1930s, and contributed story art for Alice and Peter Pan. Some of his Alice story art was published in 1944 in the book Surprise Package,

Coding Horror: Regular Expressions for Regular Programmers
That's why I was so excited to discover that two of the gnarliest regex gurus I knew -- Jan Goyvaerts (author of RegexBuddy and regular-expressions.info) and Steven Levithan (author of XRegExp and RegexPal) -- were putting their heads together to create a regular expression reference for the rest of us.

I need classic book recommendations
My nephew, who is in 6th grade, is an avid reader. I am getting him To Kill A Mockingbird for his birthday. I'd like to get him a few "classic" books. He loved Harry Potter but does read pretty much anything. Please let me know of books you think he might enjoy.

Russell Hoban's THE MOUSE AND HIS CHILD
The Mouse and His Child is generally considered a classic of children's literature, and is possibly the book for which Mr. Hoban is best known. It's the story of two clockwork mice, a father and son. When the key in the father's back is wound, he dances in a circle, swinging his son up and down.
