This fic is actually blythely’s fault for spreading a vicious rumor that there was a fic floating out in fandom that featured Snape as a fry cook in a diner in Arizona. Numerous (like so many I am embarrassed to admit how many) Google searches have turned up nada. Until now. Because I have written it. Yes, Snape is a fry cook in a diner. Amidst a period of political turmoil, Blaise asks Harry to help get Severus married. More than the traditional complications arise, however, as several people attempt to secure future happiness for themselves—and some, the future of the wizarding world.

Dear Ron and Hermione: Thanks so much for the Christmas gift! Yes, I opened it early, but you know how I am about Christmas presents. Anyway, the candlesticks are just beautiful. They’ll look great in Severus’s study, and I’m sure he’ll love them as much as I do. He’ll be home from for the Christmas hols in a couple of days, after he finishes up a few things at Hogwarts.

(Rating: Adult Potter Warnings: Massive spoilers for Book 6 & 7, though the story goes happily astray sometime in Book 6.) Harry discovers a secret in his Potions text and a friend in the Half-Blood Prince.

"Are you sure about this?" Harry asked, leaning over to examine the contents of the old cauldron. Even though Hermione had assured him that what they were working on couldn't hurt any of them, something about it didn't settle right in his gut. Glancing around the empty class room they'd been using to prepare the potion, Harry could find nothing out of place, nothing seemed wrong. He willed his nerves to calm.

Dumbledore has a plan to keep Severus and the boy safe. Rated R, for language and content.

"You are aware of course of Merlin's Curse?"
Snape searched his memory. "That strange prophecy about the birth of the Protector? A sort of wizarding Arthur who acts as lock and ward, protects the country from invasion, Dark magic and other nasties?"

When Harry defeats Voldemort, the Death Eaters lose their magic. Snape decamps to the United States, where he becomes a fry cook in a diner. Seven years after Voldemort's defeat, Harry comes to him for advice.
