Despite having not touched anything related to the fic for some time, The Fifth Act seems to have been doing quite well without my input and has even kind of developed expanded universe, which is awesome. I try and post links when other people do things, but that's dependent almost entirely on whatever my LJ posting habits are that month. Figured it was about time to collate all the relevant links into one post!

Rufus's father has been muttering about how the Turks are more loyal to Rufus than to him for years, but he never suspects it's because Rufus is fucking them all.

Tseng's brilliant, but bored; Rufus is bored, but brilliant; Reeve just wants to build things and teach his classes in peace, damn it, so count him out of the Junon University ratrace, and he wouldn't mind them leaving off the world domination either.

Two years ago, Tseng of the Turks heard Tifa, the newly-hired waitress at the Turks' favorite slum bar, drop a tray of glass and start swearing in Wutaian. Half an hour later, she was looking him in the eye and telling him she grew up in Nibelheim -- and was there when Nibelheim went up in flames.

Since that moment, he's been doing everything he needs to do in order to get her and Rufus in the same room, because he knows she has answers to the questions that have been plaguing him and the man he's loyal to since the moment they heard of the town's destruction -- answers that might mean Shinra's destruction, or its salvation.

And perhaps unfortunately for Tseng, his plan is about to work.

His father thinks he owns Midgar, but his father thinks he owns many things, and most of those things won't even give him the time of day.

As always with my FF7 writing, this takes as canon only the original game, plus very scattered bits from Crisis Core/Before Crisis as flavor; discarding the rest of the Compilation, including all Shinra/Avalanche backstory.

Request: Yuffie. An exploration of her past, her time in WRO, or how she rescues the kidnapped Wutain children. Really, I'd be happy with anything that can take her seriously. I really like the interactions Yuffie has with pretty much any character, but I'd adore something with Vincent, Reeve, Cid, Godo, and/or Red XIII in it.

Two years after the events of Advent Children. Cloud and Tifa never hoped they might see Aeris or Zack ever again -- and they did hope they wouldn't have to deal with Sephiroth a third time. They were wrong on both counts. Having their friends back is great, but it also comes with its share of awkwardness, confusion and other, more practical troubles; having to deal with a newly sane -- or is he? -- but still bastardly killer doesn't help. Especially when they still have to keep Denzel, Avalanche, WRO and the Turks happy. Meanwhile in the Wutai court, a sinister plot is brewing that could engulf the whole world once again... Genre: action/psychological/romance. Plot. Attempt at redeeming Sephiroth. Possible polyamory.

Sometimes, just like she knows how to nurture a plant into flowering, she knows not to go down this or that street, or to put on a hood to hide her face in shadows, or to walk stooped and giggle crazily so the roaming packs of bored young thugs and Shinra militia will look elsewhere for entertainment.

Sometimes, she doesn't.

Disciplinary duty takes a turn for the surreal when General Sephiroth uses Cadet Strife for his personal errand boy. However, when Cloud starts to notice something wrong with the General, he takes it upon himself to do more than just scrub the ceilings.
