Several hundred thousand mappers are now actively mapping under the new
contributor terms. Only 420 older contributors have currently explicitly
declined. At least 97.1% of nodes [2] and 96.6% of highways [2] in the
current database were created by continuing mappers. However, some of
those may have been edited later. From up-to-date figures, [3], it looks
as though 3.2M out of 120M ways are problematic in some way. That is
2.68%. It is declining. So, if we can use just one figure, I suggest we
could be at 97.32% readiness ... feel free to challenge!

AirSage Real-time Traffic, or ART, provides real-time vehicle traffic speeds on nearly 500,000 miles of highway and arterial roads throughout the U.S.
The patented ART system uses the largest network of mobile traffic sensors available, with over 35 million devices reporting in real-time. Unlike other solutions, AirSage continually reports traffic speed information based on real-time observations of actual vehicle movements, rather than relying on predictive models driven by historical or limited real-time data.
ART uses data from the AirSage WiSE (Wireless Signal Extraction) platform. The WiSE platform transforms anonymous wireless network signaling data into real-time location information. Using proprietary algorithms to analyze location changes over time and relating those changes to vehicle movement along the road network, the ART system can compute real-time vehicle traffic flow data for virtually any road segment covered by AirSage’s wireless carrier partners.
