Cloud9 IDE - Ajax.org
november 2010 by ergodique
Cloud9 IDE is aiming to be the IDE for Javascript developers. We have all experienced the Eclipse variants and other Java or C++ IDE's for which webdevelopment and javascript was an afterthought. Extending these applications or customizing them to our needs was done in either Java or C++ and generally very difficult. We are developing applications in javascript to run online for a purpose, why shouldn't you do your application development online too?
For these reasons we have started Cloud9 IDE as an online platform for Javascript development, and all the code is opensource and free to adapt and use.

Beyond Compare - The file compare, folder compare and remote directory compare utility from Scooter Software
june 2010 by ergodique

Six Sigma - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
may 2010 by ergodique
Six Sigma seeks to improve the quality of process outputs by identifying and removing the causes of defects (errors) and minimizing variability in manufacturing and business processes.[2] It uses a set of quality management methods, including statistical methods, and creates a special infrastructure of people within the organization ("Black Belts", "Green Belts", etc.) who are experts in these methods.[2] Each Six Sigma project carried out within an organization follows a defined sequence of steps and has quantified targets. These targets can be financial (cost reduction or profit increase) or whatever is critical to the customer of that process (cycle time, safety, delivery, etc.).

Rapportive Makes Gmail Better, Integrates CrunchBase And Other “Raplets”
may 2010 by ergodique
It is a browser plugin for Chrome and Firefox that automatically adds a dynamic widget in the form a sidebar to incoming Gmail messages. Thanks to the extension, you’ll get a much better overview of who’s sending you emails, as the name and email address of the people who do will be automatically cross-checked for publicly available social network presences, pictures and more on the Web, all of which get displayed alongside messages.

VistA - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
november 2009 by ergodique
By 2003, the VHA was the largest single medical system in the United States,[2] providing care to over 4 million veterans, employing 180,000 medical personnel and operating 163 hospitals, over 800 clinics and 135 nursing homes.[3] About a quarter of the nation's population is potentially eligible for VA benefits and services because they are veterans, family members or survivors of veterans.[4]
By providing electronic health records capability, VistA is thereby one of the most widely used EHRs in the world. Nearly half of all US hospitals that have a full implementation of an EMR are VA hospitals using VistA.[5][6]
