In which there's Tony, through the years, building things, often in spite of himself. Jesus, this was gorgeous. Frenetic and charged, just like it should be.

In which a reporter shadows Tony for a year after "the" press conference and we see the article that results. This was so, so good, I can't even believe it. A powerful piece that flies right out of the land of amazing meta-fanfic and right into the land of thought-provoking commentary on American sociology, the global climate, and the power of insightful journalism. I'm sitting here stunned.

In which Tony doesn't mourn, but his subconscious is an interesting place. Gorgeous and sad and impenetrable in the best way, in the way that expressions of grief and the subconscious often are.
