In which the majority of Sam's soul may be stashed away somewhere he can't find it, but there is a part that will always be a part of Dean, and that part is simple to find. This was such indulgent fixit fic, I can't even, but, BUT, it is also awesome indulgent fixit fic.

In which Sam accidentally betrays his deepest, longest held secret, and things get awkward for a long time. This was a spectacularly well-drawn fic. The places, the emotions, all of it was spot-on evocative.

In which John watches Sam and Dean revolve around each other. Which contains the line: "and suddenly where John was once the centre of the Winchester family, he looks up from his breakfast one morning to discover that Dean has usurped him, that John and Sam rotate around Dean, who stretches as far as humanly possible to keep the two of them within his reach, forcing John and his youngest son (who is, John accepts, his reflection) to keep looking at each other around the beloved and much put-upon shape of Dean who seems immoveable, like a mountain or an ancient tree touching the sky, and his eldest son is no less beautiful or fragile than those wonders of nature, and that, that is the only thing John and Sam agree upon almost from the moment Sam learns to talk: that Dean is the world, and that is all." UGH, LOVELY. The SOC walls of text may look off-putting but each passage is so, so beautiful, I kind of can't take it.

OH MY GOOOOD, in which Dean and Sam get soul-bonded, complete with mind-reading, and Dean does not take it well. OH MY GOOOOOOOODDDDDDDD. As usual, I can take or leave the Wincest, but Sam getting into Dean's head, Dean's head being spread wide open so that he can't escape from his own self-defeating thoughts, Sam reaching into that mire and grabbing hold of Dean and not letting go, that was BEAUTIFUL and PERFECT and AWESOME, emphasis on the AWE.

Mmmm, unlike the AUs and the extra-canon reimaginings and the hilarious montage vids I've been saving a lot of, this is a straight up look into Sam's POV of their fucked up, increasingly codependent relationship and it is AWESOME and I'm wondering why there aren't more of these sorts of vids being recced to me right now.

In which there is sex, role playing, and non-traditional relationships.

In which Sam and Dean are born into a universe where they have room to grow. Um, I think? This fic defies summary. They're both adopted in this AU, and not even by the same family, but the way it is handled kind of highlights how much more than brotherly they are to each other in any universe, so is it Wincest? I dunno, and I sure as hell don't give a damn. Lots of book talk and discussion of faith and inevitability, so I'm biased, but still. My heart may have swelled two sizes while reading this fic. Dean should always work with kids--he has a gift. <3333333

In which Cas and Dean share a very special night together, and Cas leaves Dean with a very special gift. What. The hell. Hahaha, I don't even know.

SO 4. In which Dean gets rehymenated because of a fairy and actually kind of treats it like a gift? Like a serious thing? And Sam sort of finds that sort of ridiculously hot? SO APPARENTLY, I like Sam/Dean when it's just insane, codependent jealousy on Sam's unrequited part? Because I can kind of understand how it might be awkward to have sex-on-legs Dean as a sibling? Hahaha, lol.

In which Sam is mute, and they're settled down. Sign language! This fic is totally fascinating. From the opening scene until the very end, you keep thinking you understand the situation, but at every step there's some unexpected twist that frustrates your expectations in the most delightfully mysterious way. P.S. Let us just say, the art at the end is pretty damn disturbing. Beatuiful, but yeah.

In which Dean Smith and Sam Wesson take up amateur ghost hunting. This would have been the perfect AU if not for the extremely strange ending which was too much of a joke for the dramatic turn it takes. I can't tell if we're supposed to just think the sex is part of their "real" lives too, or what, but the choking line makes me think there's tension there that the final line doesn't live up to.

In which Sam and Dean instinctively suspect that what they're doing is bad/wrong, but they can't help themselves when it feels so good/right. :DDDDD
