In which Blaine and Santana have a little moment about family and upheaval and acceptance just before Christmas break. For such a small thing, this ficlet certainly hits a huge amount of my buttons. Santana snark, whipped Blaine, heart-to-hearts, emotionally climactic song interludes, oh maaaan. Instant headcanon. My Blaintana creys.

In which Blaine is really into Christmas, and Kurt is really not, and while this doesn't actually lead to relationship strife, it does lead to a lot of cute Christmas-y misunderstandings.

In which there is a Christmas farce told entirely in texts from one extremely harried John Watson. THIS. WAS. HILARIOUS. SO FUNNY. BREATHING. HOW DOES IT WORK? I CAN'T. JUST READ. GOGOGO.

In which John's Christmas gifts to Sherlock speak a lot louder than he may have intended them to, but that works out well for Sherlock.

In which Sherlock makes Christmas for John, and realizes the depth of this long game they're playing in the process. This prose was unbelievably lovely--expertly spare, with flashes of heartbreakingly gorgeous insight. For instance:

"Why not?" he asks, openly curious. And oh, the look he gives Sherlock is exquisite. His whole body and soul a question mark, a page seeking to be writ upon: tell me your secrets, tell me anything.

One day, perhaps, Sherlock will drown him in metaphorical ink.

"Lussekatter are like winter here in the northlands: you get started, and you think, hey, this isn't so bad. And maybe you hum a little bit, and you get into a rhythm, and you think, no problem! I can do this! I always have before! And then nothing changes, and so you keep going, but a little doubt creeps in. And then still nothing changes, and the doubt becomes certainty: this will never end. I will always be up to my elbows in sticky golden goodness, it will never become smooth and pliable, and incidentally the light will never return, we won't be able to light the candles, and the jotuns will come howling down upon us. (It's amazing how often it comes down to frost giants in my life. No, really. You'd be amazed.)" Just go read this amazing cultural anecdote.

In which Danny ropes Steve to coming home with him to Jersey for Christmas. Yay! New Jersey displayed in a positive light! Yay, adorable and slightly terrifying giant family Christmases! Yay, quiet and understated and perfect romantic arcs! This fic is every warm emotion I can think of, and then a couple more I found in the dictionary, in addition to being very cheeky and sly and hugely funny.

In which they exchange gifts. Of course, Danny would be the obsessive type who gets the awesome presents. And of course, Steve would be the stunted one who buys the default gift with an unexpectedly large amount of emotion behind it. Of course. Now to wipe this disgusting grin off my face.

In which Sherlock and Watson prepare to spend their first Christmas together, and Harry makes sure John knows that should mean "together" together, nudge nudge eyeroll eyeroll. Ohhhhhh, this read like a perfect and wonderful love letter to the ideal domestic Christmas. Everything was beautiful and nothing hurt, etc etc etc. Excuse me while I return to drawing hearts all over this fic. :')

In which Sherlock takes John home to meet the family for Christmas. As weird as it was meeting a disconcertingly well-adjusted Holmes clan, this fic ended up working kind of spectacularly well for me. It even managed to keep my delighted attention through the last part, which was pretty much entirely sex. I find that often in fic the sex scene is the dullest, most formulaic part, especially in schmoopy fic about Christmas~ and families~, but this fic did it right! Indulgently long sex scene done well! Family eccentricities done well! Mycroft done well! Merry Christmas to me!

In which mistletoe and Danny's incorrigible motormouth pressure Steve into giving the snog (aaand some other stuff) of his life. I love this. Seriously, I just want thousands and thousands of words of Danny ranting. I would lap that shit up.

In which Steve has it all planned out, and for once it's Danny who is bucking protocol. Codaish thing to 1x12. I loved this so much it's actually insane. Danny should just never stop talking ever. Never ever.

In which Eames and Arthur celebrate Chrismakkuh. :DDD

In which Arthur is the son of Santa Claus who's trying to be his own person and is sort of twitchy about Christmas and Eames is the Christmasiest person to ever carol in Victorian gear and somehow their liaison is going to work out for the best. Put on my Ella Fitzgerald Christmas album to read this, and it was the BEST decision because Ella is delightful and this fic is delightful and basically I can't wait for more. MOOORE.

In which there's an AU where Spock and Kirk have to room together as cadets and Kirk wins Spock over with Christmas cheer. OH MY GOD IT'S SO LOVELY AND ADORABLE AND CHEEKY AND CHRISTMASY, I CANNOT EVEN. I MUST EEEEEEEE.

In which Merlin finds a child on Santa's throne his first day working the Christmas season at Pendragon and Son department store. ADORABLE. ALMOST UNBEARABLY SO. This fic follows in the grand Lamardeuse tradition of being incredibly awesome and also terribly dear, and it does not help matters that this fic in particular is all about Arthur and Merlin finding each other's paternal instincts irresistible. Furthermore, "arse over teakettle" is the most adorably English phrase for falling head over heels I've ever heard. Basically, no one with half a heart could fail to fall in love with these characters or this story.

In which Dean invites Cas to stick around for Christmas, and then to stick around forever. Trolls! Snow presents! Also, I just love this Dean and Cas, where Cas is everything Dean wants but has never had the courage to ask for, and Cas is right there, brave enough in this for the both of them.

In which Dean asks the right thing of God when everything's over and he's offered a reward, and what results is the most hilarious, heartwarming, Supernatural!zombie!Christmas ever to have been conceived by any fanfic writer ever. I am flailing with glee and love. This fic was a joy to read. Getting this craziness from Sam's bemusedly fond perspective was an unexpected delight as well.

In which Dean gets de-aged just in time for Christmas. Adorable and slightly heart-breaking. Also, I saw the ending coming and I still laughed for a minute straight when it played out.

HAHAHAHAHA. A Christmas punchline for Yvaine's catchphrase. Love it!

In which Colin and Bradley come to separate conclusions while they spend Christmas apart that they should just get over themselves and have sex already. Katie also says pretty much the same thing. Which contains the lines: "But Colin feels weird about the whole thing, like he's stumbled into some sort of weird marriage with Bradley, only it's a billion years in the future when the sex has dried up. He wants to pipe up and say that he's quite interested in actually having sex, please." Things about this fic that I love: the Love Actually tradition and all the sundry jokes poking fun at it, Katie and her perfectness, Bradley's dad, Colin's mum, and basically everything else. <333

In which Arthur is secretly a huge sucker for all things Christmas and Merlin is determined to give him the best Christmas ever. Sequel to Lovestruck. SO MUCH TO LOVE ABOUT THIS. AMAZING CHRISTMAS FIC.

In which Jim and Bones go to Joanna's Christmas pageant. This was the cutest thing ever, Joanna is the cutest thing ever, she is my favorite, the end.

In which Bones plays Santa for the Starfleet Medical pediatric ward and Jim is there to record the hallmark moment...for future blackmailing purposes. THIS. OMFG, THIS WAS THE CUTEST THING EVER. AND SO SLY, TOO. But it was also just sooooo them. This is my heart melting in delight.

In which Holmes has interesting ideas about holiday gift giving. HahahahaHA, I love Mrs Hudson in this. Love the end, lolol.

In which Jim tries to make Christmas happen on the bridge and gets a little attached to their empathic alien Christmas tree. Cuuuuute.

In which the Enterprise celebrates a host of cultural practices during the holidays and Kirk tries to respect all of them, and a certain Vulcan's in particular. THIS. WAS SO. CUTE. I am dead from holiday cheer. This was just so lovely, and Bones was so funny, and Spock totally pwned Kirk at the end like the boss that he is, amazing amazing awesome.

In which Dean spends Christmas with Cas instead of who he really wants to be spending it with. Sad fic is sad, but the running gag about Castiel singing was great and the result of it was sweet. This whole fic was bittersweet in the nicest way.

In which the bridge crew is surprisingly invested in getting Jim and Bones to make out. This fic has my favorite kind of Bones and my favorite kind of Jim and my favorite kind of bridge dynamic in a fic that revolves around MISTLETOE PRANKS. OMFG, MERRY CHRISTMAS TO MEEEE.

In which the alien Christmas tree releases sex pollen. :DDDD This fic was really fun, but I especially enjoyed the solution.

In which Bradley's feet and mouth have minds of their own and they're all allied to making sure he gets to be friends and morethanfriends with Colin Morgan. A Christmas-y sort of school AU that was a lovely, warm piece of fluff perfect for a winter's night.

In which 19 year-old Jensen follows Jeff home for Christmas break, and meets his 15 year-old brother Jared. Chemistry happens, then biology (harharhar).

In which Merlin is Arthur's assistant and the only thing keeping Arthur from pouncing on him is Uther's strict prohibition of inter-office romance. There's an awful lot of telling in this fic (seriously, in what universe would Arthur give two romantic speeches in as many days? no universe except this fic's, it seems), but my emotional kink buttons were pressed hard and this is just a cute Christmas party story, why should I quibble.
