In which we see the Famine episode and the fallout from Castiel's perspective. This was hugely evocative and kind of spectacularly rendered. The detail of Castiel eating meat is so painstakingly thorough it's like a sledgehammer to your gut and somehow it really highlights the subtle flares of emotion that come during and after that traumatic experience.

Cas is a badass and sometimes fandom forgets that. Well, no longer!

In which Castiel meets Joshua and Joshua has a few pieces of insight to offer him. Coda to 5x18. Ahhhhh, really lovely.

In which Castiel finds strength within himself, and that helps to recuperate some of his lost faith. Ungh, so good. This Castiel fits really truly with the bitter bamf we know and love on the show. I just loved this.

WOAH. UNHEARD OF SONG IS UNHEARD OF, BUT PERFECT. Like, are we sure this song wasn't written about Castiel? I can't really give a higher compliment to this vid than that it lives up to its choice of audio.

In which Castiel travels, and only one place ever feels like home. I loves the atmosphere of this, quiet and melancholy and also openly curious. So very like Castiel.

"Cut yourself a slice of that angel food cake." A Castiel/everybody vid that was sensual with a distinct edge of creepiness to it. The pacing, particularly the cut-out at the end, is top notch.

Jesus fuck. Like, holy fucking shit. I've never wanted to jump a piece of media as much as I want to jump this vid. This was the hottest fucking character study I ever watched. It's just full of shiny, sexy editing and only the best shots of everybody's beautiful faces (but mostly Cas' beautiful face), and the buildup of the tone was just, unghhhhh, soooo shiny.

In which Chuck is the repository for a lot of information he never wanted to know corresponded to real people, but maybe it's important for someone to acknowledge these things and not deny them or deflect like its an Olympic sport. In which Castiel starts to really -get it,- in this alternate 5x10. MAN, HOW AWESOME IS CASTIEL? He's pretty darn awesome.

In which Castiel searches for God as his angel mojo slowly ebbs away. Somehow, not depressing. Actually kind of buoyant.

In which Cas doesn't find God, but the search continues nonetheless. Which contains the line: "Dean is self-conscious, flawed, aggressive. Fierce and fervent. There is nothing of angels in him." This is sad and broken and reverent. I love this Castiel so much, and he is in desperate need of a hug. But there's only Dean, and he can only do so much. :((((

In which Castiel plays part time guardian angel and ends up keeping Dean from killing himself through sheer idiocy more often than anyone would really prefer.

In which we see Castiel five alternative ways. THESE, OMG THESE. My favorite is definitely the one where Dean is the angel and Cas is the prophesied brother, but there were so many other awesome ones, like the Hell one, and the one where Cas knows idioms and cultural references... MAN, dying.

In which Castiel mourns Jo and Ellen in his own way. Ahhhh, cry.

In which we see what Cas and Jo and Ellen in a car for God knows how many hours looks like. This is not quite the epic bitchfest I was looking for, but it is adorable in its own way.

In which Castiel goes into the future, too, and sees himself off. This was morbidly hilarious and also weirdly poignant. The strangest, most hilarious final words ever.

In which Castiel's most loyal companions are a healthy sense of irony and his gallows humor. The End from future!Cas' POV. Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

In which Cas finds Jesse, and learns how to apologize. Cute bonding-with-children!fic.

In which Casitel keeps a diary. This is sort of funny, I guess. I liked this more for an angel keeping a diary than for Cas or Supernatural or it being a VSD, so was maybe not as enjoyable as it could/should have been.
