The Social Graph is Neither
And speaking of booze, how come there's a field for declaring I'm an alcoholic (opensocial.Enum.Drinker.HEAVILY) but no way to tell people I smoke pot? Why are the only genders male and female? Have the people who designed this protocol really never made the twenty mile drive to San Francisco?

Sibblingz Launches Cross-Platform Social Game Engine
Social technology developer Sibblingz announced the release of a social game engine that unifies game content for PCs, Android devices, and Apple’s iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad platforms.

Developed games will feature several platform-specific tweaks to optimize performance for Facebook and supported mobile devices.

When playing a cross-platform title developed using the Sibblingz engine, players will be able to start a game on a PC, then resume progress on supported mobile platforms, with all saved data and social context fully intact.

Sibblingz launch partners include developer SiXiTS and social game company CrowdStar. CrowdStar operates the popular Sibblingz Facebook app Happy Island, which hosts 12 million monthly average users.

“Game play on the smart phone and tablet is different from social game play on the PC like Facebook,” said Peter Relan, Executive Chairman of CrowdStar. “iDevice gamers want more skill-based mechanics with console-like gaming feel.”

Relan continues: “By using the Sibblingz engine we can make a game optimized for the iPad that is connected to the same back-end data as the Facebook version. Sibblingz gives us multi-device reach with the flexibility to make a game experience unique to that device.”
