Too Much Too Soon: Incremental Release Of SharePoint Functionality
february 2012 by daliawithnoh
initial launch as a pre-release and allowed users to utilize the new system while the old system was still in place with limited functionality and their user adoption seemed to be the best. Allowing those who can champion your new system to self select and then incrementally bringing forward additional functionality seems to me to be a future best practice.

The battle for Metadata in SharePoint 2010
february 2012 by daliawithnoh
MUST invest in adequate metadata planning and implementation
1. we cannot accurately describe the benefits of using metadata in the platform with all the advantages that it offers.
2. users are unaware that they have been working with metadata ever since they started using a computer

Limitation of Content Query Web Part (CQWP)
august 2011 by daliawithnoh
One of the most powerful web parts since SharePoint 2007 is the Content Query Web Part but it has some strange limitations. To be more specific not the web part has the limitation it seems more that SharePoint has, from my point of view, a big architectural failure. Let me explain why.
