If you don't know what Markdown is or how to use it, those articles will probably leave you scratching your head (at best) or angry/frustrated wondering why we're talking about Markdown again.

august 2011 by coldbrain
Anchor-linked footnotes always disrupt your page position and consequently your flow when reading. Footnotify is a Browser Extension to display footnotes as a pop-over. All that without upsetting your point of reference. 1 ← Go ahead, click the footnote!

Markdown QuickTags - Brett Terpstra
july 2011 by coldbrain
Markdown QuickTags is a plugin for WordPress which replaces the HTML editor with a Markdown–enabled set of buttons and features. It can edit Markdown for saving, or render the finished Markdown to HTML, if you prefer. You can preview the rendered HTML at any time, and there’s even a full-screen editing mode. Options can be set in the Settings->Markdown QuickTags panel of your wp-admin section.

WordPress › Markdown for WordPress and bbPress « WordPress Plugins
june 2011 by coldbrain
Markdown for WordPress and bbPress (Markdown-WPBB) is based on the famed PHP Markdown Extra by Michel Fortin, in turn based on the original Perl version by John Gruber. All I did was make the same package work with bbPress too. ^^

Markdown Service Tools - Brett Terpstra
february 2011 by coldbrain
Markdown Service Tools is a collection of OS X Services to make creating Markdown-formatted text that much easier. Services work in any Cocoa based application (which is most of the apps on your Mac). These Services were tested on Snow Leopard, but should work fine on Leopard… maybe even Tiger. They’re each prefixed with “md” to keep them together in your Services menu, and you can assign your own keyboard shortcuts (see last section of this document) to make accessing them convenient while typing. The following Services are included:

MultiMarkdown Drag and Drop
january 2011 by coldbrain
After getting the kinks ironed out of my workflow, I wanted to have the ability to simply drag a MultiMarkdown formatted text document to a Mac OS X application, and have it spit out a formatted document.

My MultiMarkdown writing workflow with LaunchBar and Hazel
january 2011 by coldbrain
My intention with this blog is providing clear, not-so-geeky explanations and ideas on using technology to improve your life. However, I’m going to momentarily shift toward the geeky end of the spectrum in this post and talk about my writing workflow with MultiMarkdown. I’ve noticed that a significant portion of the traffic I get from search engines are people looking for information on MultiMarkdown, which I wrote about in an earlier post.

Notational Velocity ALT - Brett Terpstra
december 2010 by coldbrain
Notational Velocity ALT is a fork of the original Notational Velocity with some additional features and some interface modifications. It is a work in progress. I’m not listing it as a beta, as that would imply that it was on its way to being its own product. It’s an experiment, and I hope you enjoy it!
