Movie Ending AU. Erik is merciless after Shaw is dead, taking out Moira and sending the missiles back at the ships that fired them. Charles refuses to join him and they go their separate ways, but he keeps getting in the way and Erik can't allow him to interfere with his plans. More importantly, he can't allow Charles to be hurt.

Natasha met Clint a little more than five years ago, under less than ideal circumstances. She met Phil five years ago, when things had got worse. It hasn’t been all downhill from there, but at least she’s had company. [No movie spoilers]

In 1969, Erik is having trouble dealing with Charles' rapidly increasing powers as a telepath. His daughter seems to be acquiring those powers too. When Raven returns with shocking news of her own, the delicate balance Erik's maintaining seems likely to crumble.

But it's something else entirely that turns his world upside down ...

Replay is the story of how after Magneto of an X2-ish future succeeds in the unthinkable, Charles sends his consciousness back to 1962 to guide Erik away from the path that will lead to the genocide of the human race forty years hence. Charles knows Erik has always loved him, and intends to accomplish his goal through a totally bulletproof plan involving lots of sex. But there's something Charles doesn't know, and he's in over his head from the start....

Erik's side of the story is a little different.

Erik keeps everything -- body, mind -- under wraps, leaving Charles no choice but to find other outlets for his desires. When those desires cut a little too close to home, though, everything comes out into the open.

Very quietly, Charles says, “Can you show me?”

“No.” Erik looks at him again, then, his expression as steely as Charles has ever seen it. His resolve is even stronger than his pain. “To show you this would be to make you share it, and I would never do that to you. Never.”

Not that Poke's complaining, but he's never, ever again playing a motherfucking yenta to anyone on his team. Or anyone ever again. Sure, the mental soap opera was driving him nuts, but this is worse, this time the stray sexual thoughts coming from certain retards are real, and it's a hell lot more than he had ever wanted to know.

Poke's quite good at cutting off the stream of people's thoughts, but every once in a while something gets through and it's going to put him in therapy for years. No one should be exposed to fucking Iceman's rhapsodizing on LT's eyes. Or his dick. Poke's not sure which one is worse – the cheese or the porn.

Ray stops and reconsiders. There are at least four telepaths on the base, that he knows of, and he has been repeatedly told his thoughts are disruptive and inappropriate for the workplace.

He says, fuck them, it's probably the only time the goat-fucking nutjobs get to have any fun in here, Ray is doing them a huge favor and should be rewarded.

Many of the pressures in Charles Xavier's life -- the sacrifices Erik and Charles make to be together -- the constant tension of being closeted -- Charles' relationship to the Church he once served as a priest -- his distance from his sister -- come to the forefront in 1967. Because in that year, for Charles, peace is no longer an option.

1970s San Francisco mutant-owned leather club AU. Erik wants Charles to be his boy, then wants Charles to be something more. Through the miracle of hand-waving, Charles and Raven are 18, Erik 38, and everyone else slightly older than movie age. I planned a short PWP, but Charles and Erik were determined to have their epic romance no matter the setting.

NATO intelligence says there’s an omega-class telepath who sleeps under Westminster. Major Erik Lehnsherr is about to find out the truth for himself.

Charles liked to tell people that the first time they met, Serik punched a kitten. (Or, the one where Erik is an angry Vulcan, Charles is still a telepath, and grief still shapes their lives.)

Erik knows that Charles is both the strongest and the weakest of them all. But the 'why' of the paradox somehow gets lost in translation.

Four years after the events of X-Men: First Class, Charles Xavier finds his X-Men on the losing side of their continuing battle with Erik’s Brotherhood. Azazel and Mystique have a child in secret and, unwilling to raise Kurt in the midst of Erik's war, they give him up to Charles to raise at his school for the gifted. He agrees to do so, on the condition that they visit their son regularly. This leads to tenuous contact between the Brotherhood and the X-Men outside of the battlefield for the first time in years, and both Xavier and Magneto realize that the lines dividing them are not as clear-cut as they previously thought.

When Charles forges a telepathic link between himself and Erik, the two men find themselves bound together by more than just destiny. With the world on the brink of war, Charles and Erik struggle to cope with a psychic connection that may well be permanent.

They both know that neither would ever betray his ideals or force the other to do anything, but everytime they meet Charles secretly hopes Erik will kidnap him and Erik secretly hopes Charles will brainwash him into coming back home.

How exactly does a biological male have an identical twin sister, anyway? Hank has discovered that Charles is a transman, and used to use his telepathy to pass. Scott and Hank are furious that Charles never told them. Emma is underwhelmed. And Charles finds that he resents the notion that he did something wrong by using his telepathy to make people perceive him the way he feels he really is.

Erik had been warned, to be fair. The realtor was very explicit that the last seventeen tenants had run from the premises screaming about the Exorcist or The Ring or some other terrible horror show.

In 1965, Erik Lehnsherr has infiltrated the NYPD for his own purposes -- but his powers make him a brilliant detective. Yet that's not why FBI agent Charles Xavier has sought him out. It's because the mysterious killer they're both trying to find is murdering people like them: other mutants.

Their search for a madman binds them together. Their inner demons may tear them apart. But the greatest danger comes when the killer they're looking for looks back ...

Father Charles knew.

If you went to him, whether in the confessional or for an informal chat over coffee, he somehow always knew what was troubling you, even before you said the words.

Charles, a miner from a poor village in the countryside, saves the life of Erik Lehnsherr, scion of a successful business family and the richest man on Eisen. Charles is a telepath and somewhat anxious about it, while Erik abstains from relationships because the lights flicker and doors open and electronics vibrate when he gets too excited.

Also features a long-suffering sister, a foul-mouthed bodyguard, and a best friend with a heart that is definitely not gold.

In which there are princes, spaceships, long journeys, and old secrets uncovered. (An AU sci-fi fairytale)

In which Charles is the mutant terrorist and Erik is the professor, and nothing is the same but everything is.

The story of daemons, and intercision, and souls, and how a ridiculously soft, trusting, naive telepath named Charles had an eagle daemon, and how an idiotic, stupidly fearless martyr named Erik had a tiger, and how the world feared them for it.

“Raven,” Siri whispers, and the moonlight streams silver onto his scales. He’s a chameleon, a rabbit, a fluttering bird, landing on her shoulder and digging with tiny claws. “Raven, someone’s coming.”

Or, X-Men: First Class with daemons.

He knew the calm before a storm when he saw it. And one had been brewing for weeks now.

Set one year post movie, Charles overloads himself in Cerebro, and his mind goes walkabout; wherever he is (and he’s around), it’s not in his body. Erik temporarily takes over the school in his absence, and finds that there’s little time for resentment or hatred when he’s busy organizing assigned reading for English lit, keeping the youngest children out of trouble, and trying to talk Raven into wearing clothing for the boys’ sake. Somewhere in between taking responsibility for the students and dreaming Charles’ dreams every night, he manages to remember that he’s something rather more than a weapon. In other words: A Love Story between two Gentlemen, told in Prose, Epistles, and Nonsense Rhymes.

Erik is a fisherman who lives in a cottage by the sea; it's a quiet, secluded life, and he enjoys it that way. Charles has a bump on his head, with no memory of why he was dangling off the side of a dock, unconscious and nearly frozen to death.

Charles smiles at the pawn in his right hand. "That was when I understood how easy it was. If I operated without limits, I could remake the world. Isn't that the best argument for restraint?"

Looking back, that should have been his first clue.

The one with a rainy day, a disappointment, and kissing on a motel bed.

Charles decides that the X-Team should have a day trip to New York City. Erik disagrees, but ends up shopping and ice skating anyway.

Erik gives up his powers to save a dying Charles.

Years later, Charles would remember that day. Sometimes he would wonder if he could have changed anything; other times he would despair over what he had since become. But he would always hold the image in his mind: Raven, laughing, and his thoughts flying alongside her on strong wings, silver-gold through the winter air. Once upon a time.

Traumatized by his experience on Tarsus IV, Jim Kirk runs away to Vulcan to undergo kolinahr.

when they analyse the solution a few days later, Yusuf swears and his mind pops up with the thought Oh, shit, how did that get in there? and Arthur wonders why he ever allowed himself to be a test dummy for the newer, stronger stuff Yusuf wanted to make for his dream basement.

The most powerful telepath on the planet could never be a pacifist.

There's no way this well-thought-out, sensible, debugged and 100% bulletproof plan can possibly go wrong.

Erik and Charles are spies with something in common.

It took twenty minutes to track Mystique down once he decided he needed her, the Brotherhood's Genosha base a sprawling complex that spanned half of the island. He found her in the planning and ops room, bent, half sprawled, across the briefing table.

"Professor Xavier is giving the keynote address at the Symposium this year," he said without preamble.

"I never thought about having sex with you in a sexual sense," said Charles. "Not at all."

Charles finds Emma instead of Raven. These are glimpses of what they became.

Charles looks right at him. Blinks, weakly, in the growing sunlight. "You want to go," he says. "I won't stop you, Erik."

Erik shakes his head. "I'm going to stay," he says.

"For me?" Charles' tone makes it clear he believes himself to be an inadequate reason.

Erik fixes him with a stare. "For you," he confirms.

People are dying, and Charles has to do something. Erik makes a rather serious error of judgment.

Charles tried to calm her, to reason with her, but she was shouting, calling Raven a beast, a devil, and then she was charging at Raven with a knife in her hand. Charging at both of them, really, for Charles was standing in front of his sister protectively, attempting to shield her with his hands and his mind. All it did was make her scream at him, too.

He didn’t think of changing his mother’s memories, of making her forget she’d ever seen the blue skin that made her turn a knife on his sister, he only thought of running, Raven’s hand clasped tightly in his, as far as they could go.

But legend also speaks of the scabbard, woven out of the very fabric of magic. Protecting the sword and its bearer from all harm. A man who bore the scabbard would not bleed from his wounds and no strike could kill him.

Because, really, why wouldn’t the slash dragon’s fire create a slash sword?

Arthur is an Oxford Blue. Merlin is an Oxford cox. Lancelot is Merlin's romantic-dalliance-loving friend. Morgana is horribly clever; Gwen is cleverly waiting for Lancelot to grow up. Merlin and Arthur rub each other the wrong way, at first, but it soon becomes clear that Arthur is a university-class rower with a world-class heart (yes, I typed that). Clichés ensue.

Crowley tipped the plastic bag full of water into the bowl and watched with some satisfaction as the goldfish slid out. It made a tiny plunck as it hit the water, righted itself, and came face to face with another fish, known as The Great White Bastard, Jaws of Steaming Hot Death, Tour Guide of the River Styx, Gilled Terror, and Your Ass Between My Teeth.

He's not himself. Then, though his face doesn't move in the here and now, he feels himself give a low, soft chuckle. He hears it, and doesn't recognize the sound. Then the older Kirk claps his shoulder and squeezes it and says through the laughter, "Spock, you didn't really think I--"

If a Vulcan has an emotional reaction, and there’s no one around to see it, does it still have any significant impact?

Kirk was born in space, he sleeps best there. Lately, though, he has felt a new kind of restlessness in his bones. His sleep is interrupted by dreams, by reliving moments of a life that isn’t his.

As much as Kirk tried not to let himself be influenced by old Spock's memories of the future, even he had to admit that he was having difficulty. It wasn't any specific event that bothered him, but the whole tone of the bridge was different. Spock was different. In old Spock's memories, Kirk had felt the two of them like two halves of a single whole, two sides of the same coin. They worked together like a well-oiled machine. He barely had to give an order before Spock had already carried it out, often anticipating him even before Kirk himself knew he was going to make the request. But that was old Spock and his Kirk. This was different, and after experiencing that sort of connection, the difference was frustrating.

He is somewhat reluctant to admit it, but he and Spock still aren’t actually friends. Jim doesn’t fight with him any more – they work together well enough on the bridge, and there’s been no punches thrown since that first time. When he turns to Spock after Scotty (or, God help him, Chekov) has explained something that would be incomprehensible even without the accent, Spock translates. He’s even lost about fifty-percent of the mild condescension. Jim can deal with the other fifty-percent; he’s had enough women berate him for his arrogance to understand a healthy pride in your own abilities. It’s the other times that bother him.

"It isn't until things quiet down-- really quiet down-- that Kirk is able to let his brain come out of action mode and start processing everything that's happened to him."

It was clever, Kirk thinks, shackling them within reach of each other. Your garden-variety evil aliens would've known to chain them up so they could see each other-- that's a piece of cake to an experienced torturer-- but this, tying them up with enough give on the chains so they can reach out to each other-- is really cruel.

They had taught him all about the physical size of it in the Academy, of course; he knew that the Galaxy was about twenty-five kiloparsecs across, which was the length of the old Route 66 about 2 x 1014 times over. He'd worked that out once, doodled in the margin of his notebook in class, but he still hadn't really comprehended it. Because every time it was impressed on him just how monumentally vast space was, all he heard was the potential for new planets to explore, new life and civilizations to find. And while that was true, he had never really grasped that in between lay vast expanses of emptiness.

It is the third mission of his command, and Captain James T. Kirk suspects he is going insane.

"I have already made it clear that my desire is not to engage in this activity with Nyota, nor has it ever been. I was unaware that this was something she would require of me."

The word that has been haunting him lately, of which Vulcan has no approximation, is seduction. Intellectually, he knows what it means, in terms of a sexual relationship. It is an enticement, a tease, and he understands it. Intellectually.

Kirk needs to get married for political reasons. Spock offers himself as the logical choice.

When Spock applies to leave Vulcan for Starfleet, he is twenty-eight, which makes him a well-grown adult in human terms, but still a teenager by Vulcan standards.

Jim was using him. Perhaps it was that he was so used to seeing the physical effects of blatant cruelty that it hurt as much as it did when his rose-colored glasses were ripped suddenly away.

Two years later, the pon farr finally catches up with them.

Bones didn't notice anything unusual for the first twenty-four hours after they passed through the ion storm. There were the usual lingering headaches and dizzy spells, but that was to be expected and was nothing out of the ordinary. So when he arrived on the bridge the next day and was immediately bombarded by a barrage of chatter that seemed to be being transmitted directly into his skull, his first thought was that he had suddenly gone batshit insane and was hearing voices.

The captain cannot know about touch telepathy—he has encountered it, but it is likely that he assumes that the psi points are the only way of telegraphing; it is likely that it was an errant fantasy. Though it was… fascinating. And rather stimulating.

You get two alpha types together, and there are going to be fireworks. There always have been, even back when they hated each other. Jim likes fireworks, and these are better than most.

Detective Spock, born on Vulcan and resident of San Francisco, is assigned to the Midwest police bureau. I think everyone can guess what happens next.

The first time Spock woke up with the captain in his bed, it was because of the very strangeness. There was some sort of cool, clinging blanket wrapped around him. There was also a smaller point of heat pressing against his shoulder blades, but that he easily identified as Tribble, Ship's-Cat 3rd Class (Under Fifty Pests Exterminated). He and the ship's-cats did not, exactly, get along, but they frequented his quarters because of the higher heat, and often curled up around him when he was in the rec areas. He did not find it unacceptable to share his bed with them or allow them to sit near him. He was always slightly cold, and the creatures were a welcome source of radiated heat. The other presence, however, was unexpected.

He is four years old. His father is dead, his father’s people glad to be rid of the traitor. He has only his mother and his mind, and both seem liable to break.

"Damnit, Spock, we're your friends, not some human laboratory specimens!"

It’s not every day you catch a Vulcan jerking himself off.

"Well, I don't want to intrude or anything but -- I've been kidnapped. Nothing major yet, just some light torture, the usual."

"We're talking about sex, Spock. You calling me captain now takes it to a whole new level of kinky."

He was the Senior Medical officer on the Starfleet Flagship and that was true, but he was also a maudlin old man who was drinking the most expensive brandy he could afford with the same grace as the boys back home would swill backwoods moonshine. And he was drinking it alone.

This story was inspired by the barrage of debate at st_xi_kink -- surprisingly chatty for a supposed kink meme -- as to who tops, Kirk or Spock, and modelled (with permission) on the incomparable astolat's response to the equally burning question re Sam and Dean in Supernatural.

The Federation and the Romulan Empire have been on the verge of war for what sometimes feels like forever; this is the place where what passes for peace might end.

Uhura realizes that she and Spock share an attraction.

"It would seem that a side-effect of this repression is that all of my sexual urges have been repressed as well. This is not uncommon, as most Vulcans only mate when biologically driven to."

Arthur and Morgana are Metropolitan police officers drawn into a strange case involving robbery of ancient artifacts. Merlin is a graduate student at Imperial College studying the healing plants of Ancient Britain under Gaius – or at least that's what he tells everyone. Soon they, along with Gwen, Lancelot and Uther, will be facing a battle for the future of the country. Can they defend the realm from those who would seek to destroy it?

Jim’s first thought upon waking is that everything has gone completely, mysteriously, and catastrophically pink.

The Enterprise is ordered to pick up a Vulcan Healer and transport him to the new colony. Once there they are scheduled to remain and assist with the early stages of setting up the colony. Kirk's liaison is his 'old friend' Ambassador Spock, now known as Elder Sepak, who takes the opportunity to help Kirk and Spock become better acquainted.
