You can't get much clearer than this, this slow inexorable push: even in his sleep, Harvey's making it crystal clear that Mike isn't actually welcome here. Harvey, Mike knows, doesn't do serious. Harvey does one night stands.

Harvey can wax poetic about addiction all he likes, facts Mike knows are half made up and truths that are mostly lies, but he knows Harvey knows—it’s a break in the monotony he’s looking for, a place to put it, an off off off switch he’s never quite managed to find.

Harvey broke so many rules bringing Mike in as his associate and even more starting a personal relationship with him and after months of living and loving in secret Mike couldn’t take the secrecy anymore, felt like his whole life was a lie, and something had to give and in the end it was them that they let go of. Harvey keeps just-missing Mike at the Pearson Hardman costume ball, but he HAS met Mike's date, the gorgeous Rose Selavy.

Mike pats him in what he hopes is a mollifying manner and shushes Harvey in what he knows isn’t half as scolding a tone as he intends.

Harvey picks up Mike in the pilot instead of Miss Eat-It-Off-My-Stomach. Mike isn't easy, in any sense beyond the obvious.

Mike and Harvey wake up in Vegas. It's pretty much all downhill from there.

Harvey Specter isn't just the best closer in New York, he might be the best closer in all of Major League Baseball.

So of course Mike gets it into his head that he needs to prove this to Harvey, because Mike is a smartass. And see, the thing is that so far, Harvey has managed perfectly well to ignore the fact that he'd love nothing more than to bend his associate over the nearest desk, or push him up against the closest available surface, but seeing Mike in a short black dress that is just...way too revealing for public? That's just too much. This is what he gets for demanding that Mike bring him the Heartland briefs over the weekend.

Christ, with a hemline that short it is amazingly apparent that Mike is very literally all legs, and what beautifully toned legs they are, too. Shit, and he shaved them, too. The little asshole.

After a client pukes on Mike and dies, Pearson Hardman is put under quarantine. The Associates go feral, the Paralegals build a fort, and Mike ends up in Harvey's office watching Inherit The Wind -- at least until Harvey notices something is wrong.

Mike tells Gram after a month, when he senses she knows, but also is aware that’s a piss-poor reason to keep on lying by omission. He says, “I lost the job.”

Harvey Specter wasn't the rich renegade badass that plucked Mike from his potential life of crime.

Harvey sometimes moonlights as a Star Trek BNF. Mike might have an attitude problem on the internet. TiberiusGhost is strangely compelling, for a recluse who never goes to meetups, and Harvey's finding this kid Photohead vaguely familiar.

Wherein Mike is Merlin reincarnated, Harvey is Arthur, everybody else is everybody else, and they fall in love. Again.

"Hold on," Mike asked, "you made Donna come into work in the middle of a blizzard?"

"I don't make Donna do anything. Haven't you learned by now?" Harvey gave Mike a mean little smile, but under that was relief for anyone to see. "You, I can make come into the office in a blizzard."

Five years. Five times they don't fuck, just fuck with each other. No times they don't.

Generally he chalks it up to one of the few awkward sexual encounters he’s had as an adult and a reminder that Mike isn’t as sweet and naïve as everyone else seems to think he is. But if Mike was willing to blow him while seeing someone else, it will shade his opinion of the kid.
