Tool to correct lens distortion of various kinds, like barrel and pincushion distortion. It has a standalone application and a plugin for Aperture.

A new cross-platform text editor. Though it is still in alpha with a few inevitable rough edges, this seems to have a lot going for it. In many ways, it combines the best features of Vim with those of Textmate. The 'Goto Anything' feature, and the way selections are handled are particularly nice. I'm on a Vim jag at moment, but I'll be watching this with interest.

A ruby gem utility which adds various academic manuscript related syntax features to Markdown, and helps to pre-process files for later conversion with something like Pandoc. Looks interesting.

Very cool idea: a kind of bookmarklet commandline for your browser. This replaces a load of bookmarklets for me, so should make the bookmarks bar a bit less crowded.

Simple but very useful utility to allow you to schedule Time Machine backups whenever you want: you can use an interval (every n hours) or at calendar intervals.

This looks like it would be very handy at times: just paste in date (or upload a CSV, XLS or TSV file), change the format of individual cells and it applies those changes intelligently to all the other rows. At the end, it cleans up the file and lets you submit an email address to get the new file sent to.

I've never really got the hang of sed. This looks like a good introduction.
