You can rename a branch using:

git branch -m <new-branch-name>

It will rename the current branch

When you system clock is wrong, you may need to update it by hand by stopping the ntpd service, do a manual update with ntpdate, then restart the service:

service ntpd stop

ntpdate pool.ntp.org

service ntpd start
