Shaping user interface barriers
In general when you design a user interface, you want to lower the barrier to entry as low as possible so that the most users are able to use it, and are able to use it as quickly as possible, and as often/frequently as possible.

My least favorite chunk of iTunes on Flickr - Photo Sharing!
These two links provide no feedback whatsoever. No hover feedback. No click feedback. No "I'm doing something now" feedback. Nothing. Who decided this was a good idea? Some interface designer at Apple needs their oxygen privileges revoked.

What we can learn about usability...
Stop giving people choices. And if you can't do that, at least stop making iPhone apps, kthx?
