Removing Ping from iTunes 10.0.1 | Tom Gidden
Remove Ping, and more usefully, reinstate the non-store arrow behaviour (for quickly filtering down to just an album). (I should probably stop using things like this, because they eventually vanish, but that's the sort of person I am.)

Android DACP/iTunes Remote Control | TunesRemote
"With the protocol now reverse engineered, I wrote an Android client in about a week. Now you can remote control your iTunes from your new Android phone" Impressive. Shame that DAAP itself has encryption, otherwise you could stream to Android phones. (I have no idea why Apple don't offer a client.)

iTunes tries to be helpful by unsubscribing you from podcasts you don't get round to listening to, but that's really annoying for digital packrats (hello!), especially when the likes of Radio 4 broadcasts expire after a week.

Dan Saffer » Thinking the Unthinkable about iTunes
I think he's a bit harsh, and as I point out in the comments, iTunes is really a different class of app to Winamp or Foobar2k; it's a library manager, not a player. Nonetheless it has got crufted up over the years, and Cover Flow isn't really helping.
