I ran into this with Firebug 1.5 and Firefox 3.5.7. For now I'm reverting to Firebug 1.4.5, since that seems to be less problematic.

Looks a lot like Tom's Shelf, but in Firefox. Which, thinking about it, might have been an easier place to start.

"JSONovich is a Firefox extension that pretty-prints and colorizes JSON content (of types application/json and text/x-json). It uses json.org's json2.js to parse and indent JSON data, unless there is a native JSON parser as in Firefox 3.1, and google-code-prettify's parser and stylesheet to colorize it."

The article title goes on to say "except in one browser", but then that's pretty much broken, if you ask me. It's annoying; this is a CSS 1 property, and it really should be supported.

A nice introduction to what you can do with CouchDB's web front end, Futon, especially when you throw Firebug into the mix.

An interesting post from back in February about Firefox developers hired into Google suddenly going dark. Now it looks like this can be confirmed as them moving to Chrome-on-Webkit. (Presumably it was going to originally be Chrome-on-Gecko.)

Gruber is sceptical about Ubiquity: "Quicksilver (or Enso) but only for the web", "The more ambitious examples (which don’t work yet), make me think it’s trying to do what AppleScript tried but failed to do. "

Like the page says: "Provides a GUI front end for enabling color management in Firefox". Should help with those "but my images look shit on Flickr" complaints, but not the "should be on by default" ones.

It's difficult to tell, but this might be a userscript that lets you post ffffound images to Tumbler. I've noticed a fair bit of interplay between the two sites, actually. Useful as a hook for a Flickr/ffffound GM hack?

Firefox 3: "Colour management support will result in richer colours for images that have a colour profile embedded in them." Hurrah! But: "colour management is off by default". Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear. Please do not let this default make it to release.

"Pyro works fundamentally by drawing your entire computer screen as a Web Page, all from within Firefox. Indeed, at the core Pyro is simply a window manager which renders Web content alongside existing native applications." Insane. But interesting.

Now this, this I could have done with finding on Tuesday. Must look harder.

It took me a fresh profile and a few minutes of faffing with about:config to figure this out. Another for "when badly named preferences attack".

"New tabs retain the session history of the originating tab. Links opened in a new tab won't have a blank history, but one that is populated from the parent' tab" Nice to see this for Firefox, even if it is just an option. Again, for windows also?

It's been busy at the Google developer day. Offline storage for Firefox and IE6 (no Safari). I'm guessing there's SQLite in there. Will there need to be a standard for offline storage before it takes off?

It's time for me to move up from Firefox 1.5, I think. Cloning a profile so I can return to it if I don't like 2.0 (or the Gran Paradiso alphas) seems like a good idea.

Wait a second, you use tabs so that you reduce the amount of windows you use then you stick something back over it so that you can expose all that "clutter" again? Er? (I'm also bitter that Firefox needs an extension to properly disable tabs)
