This project is a tribute to an institution, located in Middleton Massachusetts, that no longer exists. Most of the patients and employees are now deceased. There is very little written about this hospital and many have never heard of its existence.

State Hospitals of Massachusetts: insane hospitals, asylums, and state schools. Includes histories, maps, and pictures of these historic institutions.

Located on Long Island, New York, its construction was completed and used by the US Army during World War II as Mason General Hospital. After the war, it was given back to the state. Vandalized in the 70s and 80s, it was finally demolished in 1989.

The Chernobyl disaster was a nuclear reactor accident in the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in the Soviet Union. It was the worst nuclear power plant accident in history and the only instance so far of level 7 on the International Nuclear Event Scale.

Exploring has taken me to places I never thought I would visit and introduced me to some really incredible people. It is a journey I never imagined myself taking but it is, unquestionably, a journey I was always destined to take.
