Windows only: GO Contact Sync is a handy little synchronizer that keeps your Google (G) and Outlook (O) contacts in line. You run it once or schedule it, and customize how it handles your data.

If all you want is a little tray app that does two-way syncing every time you run it, or auto-starts and syncs every X minutes, GO Contact Sync has you covered. But the tiny tray app also allows you to create different "sync profiles," where you can customize whether the sync goes just Google to Outlook, only Outlook to Google, and how it handles possible merges between your names and addresses. There's also a toggle box to recognize and re-create deletions.

OggSync stands for Outlook to multiple Google calendar sync. Also, the term Ogg originates from Ogging. Ogging is a multiplayer online strategy term used for a coordinated attack usually from multiple angles to eliminate a particular problem or threat. In the case of OggSync, the problem is disconnected and compartmentalized scheduling. There is only one of you, so why do you schedule your life on two (or more) calendars? Most people have a work calendar (Microsoft Outlook and Exchange) and a personal calendar (Google Calendar).

TheFolderSpy is a super-lightweight program that monitors and alerts the user if files are changed, added or deleted within a folder. The small, portable program monitors every file in the folder, or can be filtered to monitor only certain types of files within it. TheFolderSpy also can execute or run a program when a change is detected within a file. (For instance, Ghacks suggests that when a temporary directory is changed, a temporary cleaner can be set to run automatically to clean the folder.)

Windows: Free utility Identity Finder scans your hard drive looking for sensitive information, like credit card numbers and passwords.

Similar to previously mentioned Sensitive Number Finder, Identity Finder searches your Windows user folder, including files and browser data, for possible credit card numbers or passwords, and then lets you know so you can do something about it. The program also has a few options for dealing with that data, like "shredding" the file (which will make it unrecoverable), encrypting the file, or quarantining it.
