Fluid support in Lion - AgileBits Forums
One thing I don't see mentioned above is that by default Fluid shares its cookies with Safari, so if you use the 1Password Safari extension to log into the site(s) for which you have created an SSB, you will be logged in in the SSB. It's not the same, I know, but if you didn't already know perhaps it will ease the pain.

On iCloud's Custom Topsites Previews in Safari ~ nikf.org
Dave asked over at Finer Things as to how iCloud appears with a custom Top Sites preview. There’s no way, that I’m aware of, that’s documented to offer this. However, a quick scan of the source code for iCloud revealed this:
<script>if(window.navigator&&window.navigator.loadPurpose==="preview"){window.location.href="https://www.icloud.com/topsites_preview/"
};</script>
In short: the Javascript detects whether the window is loading the page for preview purposes and redirects the previewer to this (auto-redirecting) page for the preview.

Stormcloud, How to stop Safari 5 from unexpectedly reloading pages
Annoyed by Safari 5.1’s tendency to spontaneously reload pages when you didn’t ask it to? There’s a workaround for it, but it introduces a few problems of its own. Some Safari extensions will not work, and some of the new gestures won’t work either.
If you don’t rely on any extensions, and you can live without the new gestures (specifically, the new two-finger back/forward, smooth pinch-to-zoom, and the iOS-style smart-zoom), here’s how to fix it.

Make Safari find substring matches by default | brunerd
Now by default in Safari 5.1, when you hit Command-F and type in a word, Safari will match words that “Start with” your search item, clicking the magnifying glass, presents you with the option to search for words that “Contain” your search phrase (this was the default search behaviour in Safari pre-5.1), and in fact clicking the magnifying glass used to step through matches. Who knew!? I’m a (Shift)/Command-G man myself.

Now how could we change this behaviour back for a few hundred users who are used to the way Safari has been functioning before Apple so elegantly altered it? Here we go!

Eject to Flash
I am quite enamored with this method of being mostly Flash free on OS X. However, I can't be bothered with the amount of effort it takes to copy a URL to Chrome when I need Flash. The develop menu shortcut hack also wasn't cutting it. So, I created Eject to Flash. Installing it will allow you to open the page you are viewing in Chrome with one click or keyboard shortcut (Command + E). Enjoy.

Use AppleScript to open current Safari URL in Google Chrome
What I needed was a way to open the current Safari page to Google Chrome. After my own attempts at cobbling together an AppleScript solution failed, John Welch was kind enough to provide the the answer via Twitter:

A piece with a lot of screenshots about the close tab behaviour in Google Chrome | The Invisible
Ah, tabs.

Tabs, tabs, tabs. The specialist subject of UI experts everywhere. Should tabs just rearrange horizontally or also detach? How much vertical scroll buffer should a tab have before it detaches? Under what circumstances should it detach? What about reattaching?

This is a short piece concerned only with the different behaviours when closing tabs in Google Chrome, as I think these behaviours are fantastically thought through.

Vertical Forest :: YouTube5 Version 2
YouTube5 has become far more popular than I ever imagined it would! I’d like to say a general thank you to everyone who has commented to make suggestions or just express appreciation for this extension, its a great encouragement to know it has been useful to so many people.

Several months ago I had hinted that I was in the process of developing a new version of this extension, and I’m excited to announce that it is finally ready! This version is an almost complete rewrite, and includes many improvements over the first, including:

A custom designed HTML5 player to replace the usable, but very limited built-in player.
Support for Vimeo and Facebook video.
The ability to switch video resolutions within the player, without having to access Safari’s preferences.
Support for downloading videos from YouTube and Facebook.
A fully functional volume control, rather than just a mute button.
Support for displaying the video’s title, author, and source, in a video overlay, along with a link back to the video’s page on YouTube, Vimeo, etc.

HTML5 Audio Safari Extension // ShaunInman.com
After listening to John talk about going Flash-free and then reading the secret to his success I thought I would give it a try. First thing I did after disabling the plugin was open up Fever to see how it would impact my daily browsing experience. Almost immediately I hit a snag.

I subscribe to a number of blogs that post audio files on a regular basis (like composer of Battlestar Galactica and The Walking Dead, Bear McCreary and a number of game music sites). Connor McKay’s YouTube5 Safari extension addresses most videos I encounter and Open in Google Chrome works for the rest but while video might demand attention audio is ambient. It doesn’t makes sense to keep a second browser open just for background noise but I couldn’t find a similar extension for audio. So I made one.

JavaScript Blacklist
JavaScript Blacklist is a simple extension for Safari 5 which blacklists scripts from a configurable list of domains. If a common "utility" script used by sites that you visit is annoying you, this will let you opt out quickly and easily.
