The Daily Bell -- BBC Admits Anglosphere Destabilized Libya
'And thus the Brits crow ... again. Or to put it more precisely, the Anglosphere power elite that is apparently behind much of this weary world's destruction and bloodshed. Why do they "allow" the release of this article on a functionary media of their own control (the BBC)? Because "they" are interested in ensuring that developing country politicos get the message. The Brits are back and if you don't listen to 'em, you could find yourself dead and lying in a meat freezer for three or four days until your body is dumped in the desert in an unmarked grave. The message couldn't be clearer. A New World Order is headed your way. And you'd better cooperate. The warning has been sent. That was the reason as well, in our view, for all the Gaddafi videos that were floating around the Internet. Right now, the elites have turned to violence and authoritarianism to try to damp the effects of what we call the Internet Reformation. But from what we can tell, it didn't work the first time, and there's no reason to think it will work now. People won't voluntarily obey just because they might end up dead, buggered and dumped into an unmarked desert grave. Violence, long-term, is not a relevant solution to social control. It can work for a while but eventually, belief systems need to be inculcated. The best slaves are the ones who don't know they are enslaved. Otherwise, long-term, it doesn't have the requisite impact.'

YouTube -- CorbettReport: Media Lies and the Onset of War
'As the US and Iranian governments escalate tensions in the already volatile Straits of Hormuz, and China and Russia begin openly questioning Washington's interference in their internal politics, the world remains on a knife-edge of military tension. Far from being a dispassionate observer of these developments, however, the media has in fact been central to increasing those tensions and preparing the public to expect a military confrontation. But as the online media rises to displace the traditional forms by which the public forms its understanding of the world, many are now beginning to see first hand how the media lies the public into war.' -- It is by our will alone we set their minds in motion.

Glenn Greenwald: Orwell, 9/11, Emmanuel Goldstein and WikiLeaks
'...it is the high-ranking Inner Party members -- the D.C. cadre of think tank "scholars," government and academic functionaries, and journalists and pundits who fancy themselves sophisticated political junkies and insiders -- who are the True Believers. They cling to institutions of political power and officialdom, plant their careers, self-esteem, self-importance and social circles in its belly, and are thus the most incentivized to believe in its Rightness and Goodness and the least able to critically assess it. Intoxicated with supreme loyalty to the organs of political power and societal institutions which support it, they become its most ardent, faithful evangelizers. The more they gather together in their insular royal court realm, the more they reinforce each other's trite convictions.' -- It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it. The Onion -- America Gets Set To Enjoy Month Or So Of Libya Seeming Like Symbol Of Freedom
'“We’ve got a nice four weeks of thinking Libya represents a triumph of liberty before the situation begins to deteriorate and some new form of authoritarianism inevitably asserts itself,” said Michigan-based architect Wes Reinhorn, adding that while he was looking forward to the nation potentially serving as a model for other Arab countries, he would eventually realize the situation in the region was very complex, and any hope he had of Libya transforming things for the better would presumably fade away by October.'

YouTube -- CorbettReport: The Last Word on Osama Bin Laden
'...But after finally waking from the 10 year nightmare of the Osama Bin Laden fable, are the public willing to go straight back to sleep? Or are they going to start questioning the official narratives that are cemented into place in the wake of every large-scale event, narratives that always support more government intrusion in our lives, expanded wars of aggression around the globe and an ever-expanding police state?...' -- In some ways she was far more acute than Winston, and far less susceptible to Party propaganda. Once when he happened in some connexion to mention the war against Eurasia, she startled him by saying casually that in her opinion the war was not happening. The rocket bombs which fell daily on London were probably fired by the Government of Oceania itself, ’just to keep people frightened’. This was an idea that had literally never occurred to him. The Onion -- Thousands Gather To Watch Losing Incumbents Marched Out Of Washington
'Waving signs, brandishing sticks, and hurling rotten fruit, thousands of citizens lined the streets of Washington to taunt and abuse defeated members of Congress as they were forcibly marched from the nation's capital at sundown Wednesday. "There's one now! Get him!" said Albert Howatt, who had driven nearly 24 hours from Wichita to lob a chunk of pure Kansas granite at the disgraced politicians. "Go on out of here and don't come back!" The crowd then descended upon 63-year-old legal clerk Paulette Thomas, kicking, spitting on, and eventually hospitalizing the woman they had mistaken for outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.'

Wikipedia -- Two Minutes Hate
'The Two Minutes Hate is a daily period in which Party members of the society must watch a film depicting The Party's enemies and express their hatred for them -- Orwell did not invent the term "Two minutes' hate"; it was already in use in the First World War. At that time, British writers satirised the German campaign of hatred against the English, and imagined a Prussian family sitting around the kitchen table having its "daily hate." -- In addition, short daily artillery bombardments made by either side during the First World War, and aimed at disrupting enemy routines, were known as "hates"...'

TIME.com -- Populist Rage? …Never Mind
'So, yes, people are "angry" at Wall Street. They are also "angry" at Octomom. I wonder if the depth and quality of those two rages differ--or is this all just a television show? I mean, how many demonstrations, how many economic riots, have there been?' The problem with outrage is that it occludes vision. If you want to be angry about something, get pissed at a media culture that goes beserk about bonuses one week and forgets all about them the next. And be worried, quite worried, about a society for whom anger is a form of entertainment.'
