The message store is the component of the Messaging Server that contains the user mailboxes as well as the servers that provide IMAP, POP, and HTTP access to the mailboxes.

The size of the message store increases as the number of users, mailboxes, and log files increase. You can control the size of the message store by specifying limits on the size of mailboxes, by specifying limits on the total number of messages allowed, and by setting aging policies for messages in the store.

Depending on the number of users your server supports, the message store might require one physical disk or multiple physical disks. There are two ways to integrate this additional disk space into your system. The easiest way is to add additional message store partitions (see Managing Message Store Partitions and Adding Storage) Likewise, if you are supporting multiple hosted domains, you might want to dedicate a server instance to a single, large domain. With this configuration, you can designate a store administrator for a particular domain. You can also expand the message store by adding more partitions.

The Planetary Interaction feature of the Tyrannis expansion allows players to utilize planetary industries. Below is a general overview of what can be exploited with this new feature.

All planetary structures are placed directly on a planet via Planet Mode, after a Command Center of the appropriate type for the target planet has been deployed. To deploy a command center you must have it available in the cargo hold of a ship present and undocked in the target system. After you've deployed your Command Center it then allows you to build any other structure, already customized to fit the planet type. You can build structures while docked.

Planetary Interaction (PI) is a new feature introduced in the Tyrannis expansion. It allows pod pilots from far and wide to create industrial colonies on just about any planet in the EVE universe. Additionally it is the first step toward the future integration of EVE and DUST 514, allowing pod pilots to hire mercenaries to fight over said planetary installations.

Some Event Agents, also known as Career Agents, offer a 10 Part Tutorial mission arc designed to introduce and inform players about the basic careers of Eve, Business, Industry, Military, Exploration and Advanced Military (PvP) careers. Players will receive various Skillbooks, Ships, Modules, Implants and ISK along with Corporation and Faction Standing increase to help them get started in the Eve universe. The 4 major Factions (Amarr, Caldari, Gallente, Minmatar) each have 5 different Career Agents in a station located in 3 different systems. This means that each major Faction has a total of 15 Career Agents. All of these Agents are Level 1 Quality 0 and are available to all players.

Most items in New Eden are manufactured by players. To manufacture something, you require the skills and a blueprint which details the materials needed and the length of time it will take to produce any item. The blueprints can be researched in laboratories to decrease the material requirements, the manufacturing time of products, or to produce blueprint copies which you can sell to other players, use in your Corporation's remote locations or attempt improve in order to invent a higher tech level item.
